Dude is worthless. Useless. Classless.
Sure but that's not Kane. The guy hasn't been a physical presence for a couple years now. You're trading for a washed up power forward that takes 2 dumb penalties for every scoring chance he gets.
Something stupid? The Oilers have had an entirely different experience with Kane. Juicy because you want that not to be true doesn’t make it so. Look it up.Dude has been creating shit in the locker room from his Atlanta days. Look it up before you post something stupid. His teammates even through his track suit in the shower because he didn’t want to wear a suit.
Why would you feel bad for Bowman when he is the one who traded away most of these picks at the deadline and didnt match the offersheets?I kind of, just kind of, feel bad for Stan Bowman. Yeah the Oilers made the cup the past 2 seasons past the top 2 guys, are all in their 30s or due for a big raise and have a huge hole at GK with little cap space.
Another problem is that just about anyone they would want to dump has some kind of NTC and they're just about out of assets to attach to a bad contract to make another team take their dump. They have only a 3rd, 6th, and 7th this year, no 1st next year, O'Reilly and Savoie. That's about it. Plus how attractive is Edmonton to FA's?
If I'm Draisaitl, I'm starting to wonder what kind of decision I just made and if I'm McDavid, I'm going to be very deliberate about any kind of extension I sign because I'm probably going to have to win a cup on my own if I re-sign here.
Just said just kind of. Now he didn't have to take the job but he inherited something that looked good on the outside but as you get passed the wrapping paper, is a mess on the inside with an aging roster and little draft capital or prospects. He clearly was not expecting St Louis to offer sheet his RFAs last year and then couldn't match them. Why would you feel bad for Bowman when he is the one who traded away most of these picks at the deadline and didnt match the offersheets?
He could have easily matched Holloway and he is the biggest management issue in Edmonton.Just said just kind of. So then he's in a position to either go all in and hope to win a cup or hold his cards and likely never win one with a long, slow decline in front of him.
Are you sure he could have easily matched Holloway? If could could, that seems like a no brainer. What other damage has he done? I think the Frederic deal was to increase the chances of McDavid extending. He could have easily matched Holloway and he is the biggest management issue in Edmonton.
Bowman doesnt get to play the victim card when he is THE problem.
Not sure what kind of strings were pulled to get him this position but the man has done a lot of damage to the club already. Frederic contract will be his next big blunder.
After the Ceci to SJS for Emberson trade Oilers could have matched BOTH Broberg and Holloway offersheets. Are you sure he could have easily matched Holloway? If could could, that seems like a no brainer. What other damage has he done? I think the Frederic deal was to increase the chances of McDavid extending.
Trust me I'm no Bowman fan and frankly I think he's a weasel. But I don't envy him either.
Bowman at least partially wears the goat horns in the Holloway/Broberg fiasco and targeting an injured player at the deadline in Frederic. He did some good stuff (Podkolzin deal, Walman deal) but I wouldn’t feel bad for him.I kind of, just kind of, feel bad for Stan Bowman. The Oilers biggest mistake with Holloway was prioritizing getting Henrique and Janmark signed before taking that situation seriously. They absolutely could have kept Holloway. Broberg was dicier. Are you sure he could have easily matched Holloway? If could could, that seems like a no brainer. What other damage has he done? Only way he gets moved if the oilers take back equal money and a player with a similar attitude and of course Kane has a 16 trade ntcSo it might br nothing but I noticed after Florida beat Edmonton last night that Evander Kane did not take part in the handshake line.
and that got me thinking has Evander Kane played his last game in Edmonton?
If so where does he go? And for what?
Carolina? He's a jerk, so maybe join the bunch a jerks?
That would assume that he has the ability to think.I would wager he does his best to nix any trade so he can stay in Edmonton. Playing on a team with McDrai gives him the best chance to inflate his point totals and secure another deal once this one expires.
Who was it that traded Kesselring to Arizona/Utah. A cheap Broberg and a Kesselring would look pretty good about now.Bowman at least partially wears the goat horns in the Holloway/Broberg fiasco and targeting an injured player at the deadline in Frederic. He did some good stuff (Podkolzin deal, Walman deal) but I wouldn’t feel bad for him.
That said, Edmonton hasn’t really had trouble attracting FA’s recently.
