Kane was potentially going to be traded now that he doesnt have a full NMC to make cap space and still could depends on how we end the postseason.

If Frederic works his way up and shows he would be more valuable to the team going forward than Kane then its still a possibility.

We have 10M in capspace most of which will go to Bouchard. There would be no money left to extend Frederic unless Kane is moved for prospects\picks. Everyone else making 5M+ has a full NMC

Bouch is making 3.9M right now. When you say "most" of our 10M in space is going to go to him, how much are you thinking? How much do you expect him to get? If they sign him to 10M, that's still 4.1M available, which should be enough to get Frederic to re-sign with us if we want to keep him - although I'd prefer using that on a goalie - Stu Skinner + for John Gibson please.

That was always a stupid plan. You don't replace a player like Evander easily.

It would add 1.33M of dead weight to our cap when McDavid needs a new deal. A possibility though if he isnt a fit with McD or Drai. We still need to sign Brown , Perry and maybe Klingberg

You basically said all of this in the post I quoted. How much are you expecting Bouchard to get in your assessment, is what I was asking?

2.6M of deadcap in 2026-27. The cap will be 104M and Henrique and Arvid will be off the books so not too bad. Although Walman will probably get around 6M.
