Faes is probably the worst defender in the EPL and Verthongen is just old and bad. We’re not much better but at least Lindelöf are in a tier above those.

Vertonghen is old and slower but it's not like he suddenly forgot how defend or play football.
Faes can be prone to silly mistakes but he has improved a lot at Leicester.

This new generation Sweden sucks ass, they need warriors like Mellberg, not to mention Henke Larsson and Ljungberg.

Then and there
France's play is poetry in motion.

Yeah, but it's Mbappe really making it to look so great. It's no surprise but the guy is just so effective and dominant even against these top/almost top European sides.

Too bad Norway isn't near the same level as a team, otherwise we would have another Ronaldo vs Messi comparable NT tussle for the next decade in Haaland vs Mbappe.

Well, it should happen in the club football at least, even though it might not be quite as intensive as Ronnie and Leo if they don't play in the same league like the previous duo.

Great start for Tedesco even though the game was closer than the final score would make you believe.

It's already pretty obvious Tedesco knows the strength of this team are the speedy forwards, something Martinez failed to recognise. Lukebakio, a surprise starter, probably had his best game for Belgium and linked up very well with De Bruyne. Bakayoko had a good debut and a fantastic assist. Lukaku scored a hattrick, then you've got Trossard and Carrasco who were solid, Openda with a late sub and there is still Doku as well. We might have the fastest forward group in the world. Then with De Bruyne, Onana and Lavia in midfield we should be set.
Defence is still worrying of course, so it's hoping that young, promising talents like Zeno Debast (Anderlecht), Jorne Spileers (Club Brugge), Koni de Winter (Juve/Empoli) or Ameen Al-Dakhil (Burnley) keep progressing.

I think we play Germany next week, looking forward to that.

Except France.
And that was without Dembouz.
Imagine Dembele, Mbappe and Coman up front.

Watched the game at a bar with friends and very impressed by how the team is looking. Holland had no chance of getting away with anything the way we played.
Kolo+Mbappe+Coman is unfair. Midfield is dominant. Upa wonderful. We would have won the WC with Maignan in goal for the shootout.
Still not sold on the Kounde at FB because it simply is not his position.

Isn't the flu running through the Dutch? Didn't see the game, not sure what channel they've moved to, so couldn't say if it was bad play or playing sick?

He was the best player in the world, but Haaland has caught up now. Both are just insane

Congratz to the victory! Very disapointed in our own performance.

Our coach is sadly stuck in an old-school type football our newer and more modern players can't play very well.

Then and there
Croatia throws away a win in a match they've controlled when debutant Broadhead scores an equalizer for Wales in added time.
