As will #1 and #2, especially as it coincides with the thread that’s pretty active in the poll forums .

Those you bolded I think has a lot to do with post season success, or lack thereof.

Also the Bergeron vs. Draisaitl poll

If that's the case, Kucherov should also be higher than Matthews. In fact, Kucherov should be higher, period.

I also think Malkin being that low is underrating how good Malkin was in his prime. But its not a surprise how much Malkin gets underrated given he didn't even crack the NHL's Top 100 list.

Malkin, Kucherov and MacKinnon should really be side by side. Order can be debatable but I would personally have both Malkin and Kucherov above MacKinnon

Yeah there’s no way he should be lower than 4. I’d personally have him as 3, especially if we’re precisely looking at the 21st century.

Not a bad list obviously and still to be determined (ie. McDavid)

Couple of thoughts...

Lidstrom is at worst 4th. 7 Norris' in the early 2000's is insanity.

Kucherov has probably done enough to move ahead of Stamkos, Matthews and Drai.

MAF and Quick probably shouldn't be on this list. Longevity is impressive, but I'd take Bob, Vasi, Price, Tim Thomas, Helle, Bobby Lou over him during varying stages of their careers. Just don't see it.

I would put Lidstrom at #2.. I think he's a top 7-8-9 player of all time.

Also Karlsson came along and changed the whole game from the backend... again... spurred/inspired offensive minded dmen bringing on the Makar's/Hughes of the following generation... changed GM philosophy opening up thier minds to drafting skating, lighter, pucking moving dmen.

Needs to be in the mix in top 7-8 on that list.

I think Iginla should be higher. Mind you, I also think he should have made the NHL100.

Agreed. Lids should be ahead of Kane. Love Quick but he shouldn't be on the list. And neither should MAF.

Bergeron is probably too high and he and Kopitar should be closer in ranking. Glad to see Dats on that list but if you include him Zetterberg should be there somewhere too.

Pronger is probably a bit borderline just based on the timeline. His Hart season was 1999-00.

Personally, I would have put him in.

I still think even if you don’t include his peak seasons at the tail end of the 90s he’s one of the top 3-4 dmen in the 21st century, so I agree I’d put him in there.
