Niagara goalie is a classless POS...I seriously hope Messier takes a run at him in the 3rd.
Flores is a work of the London Knights.

His skill is equivalent to a Joe Murdaca with the 2017 team in front of him.

Niagara has always played dirty.

And then Flores tries to fight the team after he got 5 holed...

Classless Niagara player
Always two sides of the story why don’t you go watch Spence what he said two page book dummy did you win the cup it look like it congrats

Let your head coach celebrate he was out there ! Wasn’t he !!

Let me give you the cliffs notes on the HC

It appears he did something classless
Our organization has standards, he was put on leave
Pending the results, he will likely be terminated.
Thus, unlike Niagara, we hold accountability to our players and staff.

Now for the game...

Daviault left with a presumed concussion. No worries, we started 7 deep. Holomego barely saw the ice, we are down to 5 defenders, 4 if you count McCall's timeouts for most of the 1st and part of the 2nd, not good.

Offensively we had Messier and Phillips as the 4th line in the rotation, but I only recall Phillips out there a couple times in the first and didn't see him the rest of the way which means we skated with 10 up front.

Challenger looked slightly better at times and slightly out of his league at times IMO. I still think he needs more time with the 3rd line.

Outside of that, I felt the boys played well and though he wasn't on the scoresheet, Messier was having one of his best games of the season.

Erliden looked like he was back to form, and BOTH goalies on either team stood on their heads for the entire contest.

I also felt there were large periods of time where we just dominated the offensive zone and possession.

The sore spot of the evening, the officiating was garbage and it's a shame because it truly was a really good back and forth game.

That hit on Daviault from He looked high to me and interference. The fact there was no call for review purposes was poor on the officiating crew.

The cross check to the back of the head on Misiak was never reviewed either. It was one of the most poorly officiated games I've seen this season. It was a shame because it was a really good hockey game.

And Flores should have been ejected for intent to injure another player with his stick.

I get there are slashes, they are dealt with accordingly, but a typical slash vs a 2 handed swing are two entirely different things. Flores is a POS and hopefully the league reviews is piss poor demeanor. It has no place in the OHL so shame on Niagara coaches for not disciplining him for being a whiny little kid.

I agree. I need to go back and watch these again.
The Misiak one looked to me live to be a two hand slash to his head/face a few seconds after the whistle.
Add the spear to Messier and we are talking about 3 potential 5 minutes majors. Two were non calls at all and one was a two minute penalty.
To be transparent a I didn’t think the hit on Henry early was that bad. It looked worse than it was and Henry looked like he was falling a bit before any contact was made.

This officiating crew was a joke but it’s
like this far too often unfortunately.

The angle I had from Daviault was not a good one. Whether he was hit high or not I couldn't see. I just know it was thunderous.

Henry's hit wasn't awful, but he was in that danger zone away from the boards and hit it awkwardly. I will say McCall also took a pretty bad beating in the fight and hope his eye is OK today.

I've watched the last 4-5 home games for Erie and I don't normally call out bad refs because stuff happens and you hope it balances out. Saying that, something needs to change in Erie because its horrible what is happening there. Missed offsides all last night were unbelievable among other things. I counted plenty of them and wonder what the linesmen are actually looking at. The hit on Daviault the other night was horrendous and I would be shocked in Erie has not sent the video into the league. I'm a fan of a few OHL teams including Erie, but that end of the game hit Henry made was ugly ( intentional or not) and every person I was with thought it should have been a slew foot call. It's truly embarrassing that at this level of hockey, this is the best the OHL can put out on the ice.

Kevin He got suspended for the hit on Daviault.
