Arsenal is playing a very deep 6-3 and City it just making short little 6 yard passes around the outside. They're letting Arsenal sit back deep which removes the chances of an overlapping run and makes it nearly impossible for the players in the middle of City's attack to actually move their guys around.

City isn't playing it out side, they're not running hard across the box to move people, they're not trying crosses, they're just endlessly cycling it back and forth and hoping one of their 30 yard shots becomes magic.
They also had zero sense of urgency. On a few occasions with 3-4+ Arsenal players still up field they just just kept plodding the ball up rather than going wide or up field quickly.. Arsenal didn't even have to contain Haaland, City did that themselves.

Nah - figured they'd knock in some kind of garbage goal. A road draw at Man City is fine esp. considering they were down a man for a half+.

Rough week and they did ok - won at Spurs, draw on the road at Atalanta and draw at City.
Deep down I thought so too. Started to believe we were through in the 95th minute.

Unfortunately "okay" doesn't cut it over a season against City. Giving them a loss would have been massive.

Well it's September. Long, long way to go and the win would have put Arsenal up what, 1 point?

They've proven the last couple seasons they can play with those guys. It's the matches vs. the mid-level teams that make me nervous.

Arsenal played fine down a man. If City is going to repeatedly do the same stupid thing over and over again, that's how you defend it.

It's not like Raya was making insane saves every 30 seconds. He made a couple really good ones, and did a good job controlling the air on corners (and the few crosses that happened), but he had a way, way, way easier job than a keeper should have when his team is defending against City down a man.

City deserved better but the draw will be more than enough for them to win the league again.

Boring game with City looking to pad their stats rather than win the game but in the end the class outshines the shit and they got the goal they deserved.

The class? What class? They passed around creating nothing for 52 minutes with a man advantage.
