GWT: EPL - Matchweek 38

Feel bad for Villa. They had such a good run going and then they fall on the last hurdle.

Good last game for Amorim and the squad.

An exhausting season, but to end with a gritty, tactical performance (when we have not had many of those) is a major f***ing win. Back four was immense today, James especially (easy MOTM for me). Back in the champions league!!!

I understand that Chelsea are happy to qualify to the Champions League. After years of absence. But don't celebrate that like you won a title. That's not the standard of the club. Qualifying to this competition should be normal.

I don’t think you know what title celebrations look like if you think this is celebrating like you won a title

Who is celebrating like a title win?

we completely didn't deserve anything from that. One of the worst performances of the season. That being said, was quite a terrible refereeing mistake

I don't agree with the United fans. I didn't watch the full match as I was watching Arsenal, but if Villa got their rightful goal, they would have parked the bus more than a Moainho team. Hard to see United eventually breaking them down. Maybe getting a goal, but I can't see a win.

Well United *was* the better team. That doesn't mean Villa didn't deserve a result, they should have been up 1-0 at ~70 minutes or so and there's a non-trivial chance they hold on to at least a draw, but they were clearly the second best team on the pitch today and that was even true prior to the red.
