GWT: EPL - Matchweek 37

I feel like Bradley is playing both RB and LB and Tsimikas is doing absolutely nothing. Bradley is everywhere

Bradley is such a nice player. I still see some high potential. I am still unsure if Frimpong would be the starter but maybe Slot will change to a back 3.

Hurzeler was going to kill Estupinan had Liverpool equalized.

Brighton's bench is impressive and their coach's subs were on point. And there are also missing quite a few players.

Brutal watch since LFC clintched it. It's hard to criticize the team but at the same time it's worrying that the squad players have been so poor. Konaté without VVD look like a mess. Quansah, another poor showing. Elliott the good, the bad and the ugly. Tsimikas is surely gone after this season. Nunez is also obviously gone. Salah has had his chances. I think Endo is also a nice guy but I honestly don't see him fitting the role for Slot.

So I think the most fun permutation for me right now is:

5/20 - City loss; Bournemouth win. Standings remain the same except Bournemouth leaps into 9th.
Then, on MW 38, we get City draw Fulham, Forest beat Chelsea, Villa beat United, Newcastle beat Everton, Brighton beat Spurs.
Standings would be Liverpool (83), Arsenal (74), Newcastle (69), Villa (69), Forest (68), City (66), Chelsea (66).
Then 5/28, Chelsea wins UECL.

By my math, we'd get
Champions League - Liverpool/Arsenal/Newcastle/Villa/Forest/(ManU/Spurs)
Europa League - Palace/City/Chelsea
Conference League - Brighton

And the bottom of the table would be...(16) United (39), (17) Spurs 38. Ideally Spurs would lose by one goal so they end up in 17th with a positive GD. That would just be fun.

I’m not going to judge the performance because once you clinch, the edge is off and you start partying, you won’t win at all. We saw this story last time. That being said Darwin is basically unplayable and has been all season. The second leg against PSG he was heavily responsible for why we lost, he just can’t finish any of his chances. Guy would be one of the best players in the world if he could but he’s absolutely not going to do that for us. He has to be sold. Maybe he’ll go somewhere else and feel less pressure and score way more but this didn’t work out here.

I’ve never seen a player worse at running. He has no idea how to beat an offsides trap. He has no idea where the line is. He has no sense of running into space. He’s like the scarecrow from the wizard of oz. No brain

Yes Quansah is such a poor player. I don't see his future with LFC. His mental process of the game is too slow.
He badly needs a loan. He might get sold this summer, but I think we need his HG. He needs to go somewhere and play regular. It’s not here. And we’ve missed our CB target two summers in a row too. There would be space for him if he could play. But as it stands, especially with the Konate situation; you need Quansah ready for 2026
