I mean we did talk about this before the season. Bringing mount in that midfield makes no sense.
Mount isn’t even playing. This has nothing to do with Mount and everything to do with trying to run it back with 2 of the top 3 most important defensive players being 31 and 30 with 0 replacements. Also has a ton to do with outside of Rashford and Antony this team is pretty damn slow.

One of the other huge things that United that confuse the shit out of me. It’s like they don’t understand the difference between being in space and being open to make the pass. Stop yelling to AWB to make a 70 yard cross field pass. It ain’t happening. There is literally one player on the pitch that can consistently make that pass and that’s Eriksen.

Havertz should be scoring that...

Was actually a tough chance with the defender there

Can’t blame Mount today though. Woof

Not blaming mount. The money used on a player that isn’t needed is the issue. Could’ve got a DM for that money and saved the rest

Onana has had quite a shocking start at United.
Why? He has been at fault for exactly 0 goals. There were some that he should have done better but literally all of them you could easily argue that it was on the defense in front of him.

I don’t even think a DM would have made a huge difference. I genuinely think that Casemiro looks like a liability this season so basically we’d be in the same spot.

Mount I actually think was a fine signing in theory. Issue is that the role he’s best in is the Bruno role and he sure as hell ain’t getting dropped. I thought they’d try Bruno on the wing to accommodate Mount,

They still can. I would just be very worried about Casemiro if I was then. Casemiro carried them last season

I’d give casemiro the benefit of the doubt. But he needs help. A DM is needed for sure imo

I know Amrabat isn't the level needed to contend for titles, but stylistically he'd fit really well next to Casemiro. He'd also add literally any semblance of ability to control the tempo of a game which is desperately needed. Getting him in even as a stopgap would probably be a big help this year.

You love to see it.

He got MOTM the first two games. Not sure if he got it today too.
His control on the Maddison goal was superb. Sarr's pass was slick too.
Too bad Maddison didn't care to celebrate with them because they both really created the goal.

He’s been great but I would have to say Maddison (if we’re just talking about Spurs).
I thought Bissouma was amazing in the first two games and I only caught parts of this one and he was the best player on the pitch in those parts.
And no I wasn't only taking Spurs. Bissouma has been spectacular. The way he controls the ball, protects it, passes it, takes it back.
Also his duo with Sarr is very interesting.

Arsenal looking disjointed, not loving it
Not surprising when you mess with the tactics this much. Last year the combinations with Zinchenko / Xhaka / Martinelli down the left and White / Odegaard / Saka down the right were basically flawless. I know Xhaka is gone and Zinchenko/Jesus are not starting, but we broke up what worked for something new that might work

I definitely think it's time to give up this Partey at RB silliness. I tuned in after the goal so don't know what broke down defensively specifically, but it seems a clear example of something out of whack

Casemiro just jogging and letting his guy run past him.

That play is just one example of why Bruno is captain. Does shit like that 50 times a game.
