When the tilt is that far off, something is horribly wrong with how the game is officiated. It is statistically improbable that (and the takeaway should not be) LFC just foul teams twice as much as other teams do. The eye test does not match that at all.

I don’t think you can call a team diverpool when they aren’t rewarded for said diving. Maybe that’s just me. No one is defending Diogo. Don’t think the Diaz thing was a dive. There was definitely contact.

I don’t think a random opinion from a guy with a low follower count is all that credible. Any dipshit can make an account post a bunch of engagement bait like that post was. And just get a bunch of lemmings with an agenda and bots to boost it up. So no, especially in twitter’s current format, I am not giving that opinion any credibility

Doing it against this United team is not exactly an indication that he can do it consistently. Especially without Yoro :) we aren’t going to get a defensive masterclass today

No. If they aren’t getting rewarded for diving, they are just the same as every other team. Every team dives. This isn’t exclusive to one team. No one is saying (for example) Everdive or Diverton yet that’s where their first goal came from in Wednesday. It’s just a lousy part of the game. And again no one is exactly standing up for Diogo Jota either.
 
The ref gave two pens on two Liverpool dives. VAR only overturned one of them.
The referee also didn’t award a yellow for diving.

I’d say that counts as being rewarded.

Also, just because you don’t get rewarded for diving doesn’t mean you didn’t dive. One of the dumber ways you’ve tried to defend Liverpool at all costs in recent years.

The keeper very very lightly touched his foot. Diaz then threw himself to the ground while leaving his leg behind him on a very unnatural way to generate more contact.

It wasn’t a dive in the strict sense, but it was significant embellishment.

Did the contact cause him to fall or was he looking for any sort of remote excuse to throw himself to the ground? It’s pretty clear it’s the latter.
