I’m not sure whether to expect this game to be an absolute clown show between this stuff and the injuries (and United being United) or if this’ll be the magic three times a year showing where the team actually steps up.

It won't be a classic. One of three things will happen:

1)Spurs are Spursy and ManU win
2)ManU doesn't show up and Spurs win
3)Both teams make numerous errors and it's a draw

Either way, the game may have a laugh track

Liverpool starting what I feel is their strongest front three in Salah-Jota-Diaz and get rewarded inside 15 min, when Luisito Diaz uses his speed and with a bit of luck puts them ahead on a broken play.

Diogo being back enabled this (but he still doesn’t look right). Slot does not trust Darwin so Diaz has had to play striker. Diaz did about as well as he could have but he’s much better on the left. Diaz and Gakpo have a very obvious platoon on the left where each fit a certain type of game better, but they are going to have to get a striker in the summer. They would have sold Darwin in January if the had a ready replacement coming in

I have a feeling Agbadou doesn't finish the game on the pitch, either subbed off or red carded.

Guedes and Sarabia looked like a couple of has beens that first half.

The only remarkable ref this is I think that Konate got the Declan rice ball kick yellow. That was kind of funny.

LFC best path to the league at this point is (still) cleaning up points at Anfield. The away fixtures are very hard, but if they can pick up 2-3 wins the math is probably good enough. Although it might not look that way by March because the schedule is unbalanced. Since they’ve dropped at goodison, they may need to pick up a tough away win else where, but I suspect if they win all their homes games they’ll find enough on the road

That being said, unacceptable game from LFC. They won but their performance the past two games have been attrocious. Wolves clogged the midfield in the 2nd half and LFC could not do anything about it. They have to go back to the drawing board otherwise other teams will know the template to beat them.
