That was more on the whole defense or no one bothering to cover Mateta. Onana barely got even a fingertip on the header. Or is Onana being too short his fault? I'm not sure what else was he supposed to do in that situation?

That's the problem. Header is from far away. A decent goalie sends the ball over the bar. Onana can't even reach it.

To be fair to Akanji stones didn’t do him much favours with that pass. He should still do better tho.

The commentator's on my stream praised the quality of the header and put the blame on the defense for not covering Mateta. Onana definitely deserves his blame when it's time but this wasn't it.

It’s strange, though, because last week City won convincingly with Haaland playing far more like he did at Dortmund. He is capable of being a far more rounded striker. I don’t know why Pep fully switches his tactics back this week - you can’t repeat them exactly (because Gabriel and Saliba are not Chalobah and Colwill, lol), but they looked a lot more dynamic.
