I’m legit super happy for Darwin tbh
For sure. The vast majority of LFC fans (especially the match going ones) are firmly in his corner. Maybe he makes it here, maybe he doesn’t, but he is always putting effort in. He’s not Carroll/Balotelli/Lambert tier. He’s obviously not Firmino either, who wasn’t a prolific scorer either but did literally everything less. There’s a loud online presence rooting against him, and yeah I don’t think he’s a long term solution, but you can tell him team mates love him and want him to do well

Mental midgets. One goal conceded and puff, the air goes out of their lungs like a balloon emptying. Show up vs Liverpool and Stoke 2.0 in the FA Cup but in the league after those... *crickets*

Ugarte and Mainoo have struggled these last two games.
I think we're seeing the signs of Mainoo being "forced" to play too much last season. He could've used time to improve his leg speed, since at his age, it's still somewhat possible with proper training because he's been looking really slow. I know Casemiro is basically one foot out of the door even though nothing seems to be happening with a possible move to the Saudis but he looked good with Ugarte the couple of times we've seen them on the pitch. Granted, their best outing came under Ruud and a different "system".

Yeah - this feels like the end. They are on the road to a relegation fight.
I doubt he'll be replaced this year unless they actually get relegated which, as hilarious as it would be, isn't a realistic threat with how bad the bottom 3 are.

Spurs are generally a patient organization and he's got a pretty big excuse this year with having so many injuries/such a young squad. They also have a shockingly good goal differential for their position, so it wouldn't be shocking for them to improve their results through the year.

Yeah, I can't see them getting relegated. But safe to say there is a lot of frustration building up.

Not entirely sure what he was thinking yesterday. He had two fit centre-backs in Dragusin and Davies. He was free to play Gray in midfield, where he should belong. But he still sticks Gray at centre-back to form some makeshift back three, which they barely ever play? Players looked completely out of sorts until Dragusin came off and they set up how they used to.

13th in the table is more of Stoke 2.0 vibe imo.

I have not watched all the Spurs game but I thought they played very well defensively against LFC in the cup. I am surprised by their recent results. What happened since then?

They had been terrible for more than a month prior to that game. How Liverpool couldn't break down that amalgamation of a backline I don't understand.

There have been an awful lot of injuries, and those that aren't injured look like shells of their former self (Porro and Son prime examples).

One of the worst all-time refereeing performance by Anthony Taylor yesterday in the Forest v Southampton game. MOTD2 didn't even talk about most of this and I guess that's how he keeps getting away with his refereeing terrorism.

For reference, Taylor was the referee we complained about with our infamous tweet after Everton away last season. Since then he's proven he's a man who can hold a grudge.

To start with, fairly inconsequential but this was given as a foul. Taylor was 5 yards away from it.

A little context for this next one. The tackle on the right here was Forest away at Brighton this season. The decision by the referee was that he got the ball, play on. Anthony Taylor was fourth official that day and got himself involved. He told the referee that Gibbs-White didn't actually get the ball (wrong) and he was subsequently sent off for a second yellow card.

The tackle on the left was yesterday, Flynn Downes on Gibbs-White. Nowhere near the ball, but Taylor oddly didn't see this one as a yellow card.

Downes then went on to do this shortly after. Apparently an elbow to the face is his line for a yellow card. Southampton substitued Downes at half time, likely thankful they had the opportunity to do so.

Then this was gleefully given as offside. Wood doesn't interfere with anyone remotely involved in the play.

Taylor doing Taylor things.

What's funny in that thread is that Anthony Taylor is unambiguously a terrible ref but probably the worst thing he did in that game was blow at exactly 102 minutes when about 3 minutes of stoppages had occurred within stoppage time (including, but not limited to, a goal and a yellow card), which obviously greatly benefited a Forest side who were hanging on.
