If you think he would have as poorly with Liverpool's material, you're out to lunch. I don't know if Liverpool's material is suited for 3-4-3 but their material is much better than United's.
He might. He also probably has enough ego that he would have torn everything up.
Slot is doing very well because he’s taken what was at Liverpool, added, given structure and revitalized what was not working (Salah, Trent). He’s also getting more out of guys like Diaz and Gakpo than Klopp was.
Liverpool were not bare bones. Sure. But it’s also a sign of a top manager to come in and be able to work with and get the support of those players. No idea if Amorim could have.
But this way he knows exactly which players don't fit the system. Gives more time to plan for the moves.
