Seriousment?
Nah - he is reminding the crowd how many Champions Leagues LFC has won :)

Better not lose next match week or that is going to be a how many loses in a row meme

I mean he definitely heard it :)

But seriously though love that quote - Pat Riley, right?
Sérieux?

Barcelona
If you told me a year ago that Marc Cucurella would be (to me, unambiguously) the best LB in the Premier League? He’s been absolutely immense this year, tremendous today.
I mean you saw him at the Euros

City players holding an improptu debate session amongst themselves is interesting.
I remember when Barcelona players did that once on the pitch. It was the season they tuned out Pep and he left at the end of it.

I actually almost feel bad for City right now. They are having the season from hell that LFC had in 22/23 which almost killed Klopp. Squad is too small, not enough gas, one problem keeps leading to other problems. Not that we had any sympathy when it happened to us, but I can certainly recognize it.

It's more like no Rodri, injured/old Kevin De Bruyne, and Foden becoming replacement-level all at once.
Careful. The people who argue that Pep can only do it managing rosters that are tiers above everyone else’s will feel validated.

Missed most of today due to life things. Really surprised at the consistency this Liverpool team has shown so far. With a figurehead like Klopp leaving I would have thought the team would need more time before hitting their stride..

Now if only this City team was waht we saw one of the last 2 season.... darn.

Yes because one month of his worst managerial career is where we should judge him not the unprecedented success he’s had before for over a decade.

I did have a take about this I was going to post after this game, but I think further evaluation is required. The Madrid match and losing players in that match might turn out to be a mistake.

That being said there were times in the last few seasons where Klopp had clearly given so much of himself that he had nothing more left to give and that coincided with bad runs of form. When you coach your team on emotion that can happen sometimes. Slot absolutely does not do that, so who knows what's to come? When things get hard he may not have an answer. But things may not be difficult until next season. It's impossible to know. I think clearly the biggest benefit to this change is that the team is more robotic in process and this has made a huge positive difference.

I think they could have brought Bradley off a little earlier, but no way he could have accounted for Endrick just doing barrel rolls into Konate because he had nothing else going for him. It is a shame though. Timing is especially bad because don't think they are hurt bad enough to force action in January either (which is a whole other story).

December fixtures are tough and only have 5 healthy defenders. They don't HAVE to go all out for Girona and League Cup Southampton, but with three defenders on crutches, they are probably going to have to get creative at some point. Maybe Endo see some time back there or something. Just hard to say though. Next four league games are very tough. Need to get through those.

So we could have an Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and United top 4 next season?

With City mid table again?

Did Christina Aguilera just release Genie in a Bottle?
