Hard to believe Leicester was the darling, “best of the rest” club just a few years ago. Goes to show it doesn’t take much for these moneyball clubs to fall off a cliff.

They made very bad purchases and expensive players too.

The new moneyball darling is Brighton.
Exactly what I mean. It looks like a fantastic, well-oiled machine when the buys are going right. But the second they make a few bad purchases, they don’t have the financial runway to get themselves out of it. And rest assured, no one bats 1.000. It’s going to happen.

Yeah, Brighton is exactly the same.

There was no moneyball involved, they just lucked into some cheap players. If wasn't as any analytics were involved in getting Vardy, Mahrez and Kante.

Brighton and Brentford are different.

Not effective against teams sitting deep.

There was a play that was rather typical of him, he made a great slide tackle to win the ball and then got to his feet, but as he went up the pitch, he stepped on the ball and then committed a foul.

He's doing some good things and then.....

Yeah not sure 11 men back suits his game but he has shown flashes of what makes him dangerous. Hopefully he gets another 20-30 mins and can impress. If not, we have some great options.

I think it's kinda telling that in a game where you're dominating, the highlight of the game for your right winger is a good defensive trackback.
