    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

You couldn’t wait for your chance to say “man that’s not a good look” on something lane hutson did and hilariously enough you chose a set/trick play off the faceoff that took suzuki by surprise as well to take your shot at him.

I watched the video and this was my exact comment.

Man that's not a good look.

Any reasonable hockey fan would say the same thing, quite while you are down here.

Meanwhile a few weeks ago cole caufield made celebrini look silly in overtime, i don’t remember you being the first one to take your shot at celebrini when that happened.
Haven't seen the video so I can't comment, post it and I will but it still doesn't take away from the video posted here right?

There are always going to be posters that have a dislike for certain teams for whatever reason. I’ve always felt that cheering against certain players from teams you don’t like is something small people do but I’m not immune to it with the leafs for example.

I'm on the record for being a Hab hater as a child, and frankly most of that was due to the difference in Dick Irvin being such a homer broadcaster to our legendary Jim Robson.

I still hold the same view for broadcaster and while I'm a fan of the canucks still I'm more a fan of hockey in general so in the sense of being a Hab hater as a child that no longer holds true as an adult.

I'm also often very critical of my Canucks and some of the fan boi fans we have so I don't pick and choose according to the jersey.

As for the Habs I don't cheer for them (as I don't cheer for most teams) and most of my posts "against the Habs" in your POV are the same for any team, mainly directed at homer boi posters who are black and white on their players and ridiculously biased.

You are often like this so I don't expect you to understand.
Just don’t pretend you’re here for objective hockey discussion or that you actually argue in “good faith”. (LOL) and to offer contrarian views to “bring balance” to the boards when it’s comically obvious what your agenda really is.
I'm not pretending I know who I am and what drives my motivation on this discussion board and frankly it's amusing at best when other posters try to portray my intentions here or anywhere, perhaps stop and think about waht you are saying here?

You don’t like the canadiens and it bothers you to the core to see them with fantastic young players like Lane Hutson.
I already stated that the jersey doesn't matter I'm more inclined to react to a poster that is obviously biased and/or doesn't back up their claims with valid points.

All teams have fantastic young player, or they will soon, get over yourself.

Hutson is a very good offensive young Dman but like all players he has strengths and weaknesses.

A pre-planned set play, like they were trying to score or something?

Get real.

Dude I commented on a video clip take off your Hutson tinted glasses and accept reality it was a bad look nothing more nothing less.

Put another way if they miss the playoffs by a single point it won't be because of that play it would be because of the whole season.

People ignoring the reality of what their eyes se e just makes them look bad, learn the lesson here.
We aren’t ignoring it; we just aren’t making a mountain out of a molehill over it due to bias like yourself. Every NHL defenseman gets burned multiple times per season; making a big deal out of it happening to a rookie on a gimmick play in 3 on 3 OT is what’s not a good look.

Also, he's never at this position at face-offs, it's forwards that are there.

Some one posted a clip, I made the obvious observation then several Habs fans are making a mountain out of a mole hill or maybe you missed the part where I said something similar happened to Ray Bourque?

It was objectively a bad look on him there just deal with it.

There’s nothing to deal with. It happens every season, to every defenseman in the NHL.

Hutson is having a better rookie season than Quinn did, just deal with it.

Based on what? Scoring the same with worse underlying numbers?

For what it's worth, Frank Seravalli said today that if the Flames get into the playoffs he'll make Wolf his #1 choice in the Calder vote.

That seems like such poor reasoning, but that’s typical for the voters. If they just miss or just make it, it doesn’t really change how good Wolf has been.

Then perhaps you should move along then.

Good thing Hughes doesn't have to worry about this then.

Like seriously why would you even bring that up?

Oh ya that's right I'm the homer/hater here eh?..lol

Because you clearly seem to have an axe to grind with the Habs and Hutson in particular. Gee I wonder why lol.

Also, Hughes got abused like a rented mule in the playoffs last year. He has to worry about that lmao.

I actually my axe is with posters like yourself trying to speak to my intentions.

No idea on what you are actually trying to say here.

Was he as good as his regular season norris self nope.

But then again most teams would like a Dman with a line of 13-010-10 (+1) in the playoffs right?

But then again i sounds like you didn't watch him play.

But that's twice now that you have brought up a player that's not in the Calder race try to stay on topic

Ahh, the old “you’re not saying what I want you to say about [player], therefore you don’t watch him play” schtick, a beloved HFBoards classic ❤️.

I watched him get taken to the woodshed for 7 straight games against the Oilers. He was bad against the Preds too. Poor guy was ground to a nub and had pretty much nothing left by the time they got to the 2nd round.

It’s funny how the first thing you point to when this is brought up is his points, meanwhile you’re in here ragging on a rookie defenseman for a supposed defensive gaffe on a gimmick play off the draw in 3 on 3.

Hutson is the current front runner for the Calder. Deal with it.

The Canucks were crap against the Oilers and lucky to even get to game 7, like I stated before Hughes wasn't as dominant as he was in the regular season.

That being said your take doesn't hold up as the Canucks were getting seriously outplayed in the playoffs and hughes was one of the better Canucks in tilting the ice when he was out there.

Learn to read the first thing I brought up was this?

Was he as good as his regular season norris self nope.

Also I never ragged on Hutson, I made the obvious comment, if you think it's a good look please tell us?

This is exactly the type of bad faith posting that I respond to then you have to mak ri personal, it's a bad look for you.

You bring up Hughes, which is immaterial to this discussion, and my first comment you apparently didn't read, that might be your biggest problem here jumping to conclusions where there are none.

It's a 3 man race, anyone saying definitively otherwise has a closed mind.

The consensus of the last poll of voters show that as each player has time to make or break their case.
