Not if he continues to be the worst rookie in plus/minus. Might be silly but a rookie defensemen that is on pace for -35 will be criticized harder then a forward that is on pace for the same -35.

Be the connoisseur you pretend to be and go look at GF%. He's -6, simply because -8 of his -14 has been in empty net situations (0GF, 8GA).

He won't finish at -35 either, because if you were doing something else than basic stats watching, you would realize his GF% over the last 12 games is 50.0%.

Sure the last 3 games have been against the Dead Wings and SC playoff pretenders Buffalo....just saying.

He's had points against the better teams too. The last 3 teams we've faced who are clearly over ,500, were boston, winnipeg and washington, and Hutson had 1g 3a in those 3 games. Opponent strenght doesn't matter with Hutson. He's still gonna get points.

Fantastic group of rookies this season in the NHL.

As for the 3 that are currently at the top of the list, we will see how they continue to perform over a very long and grueling NHL season. They're not used to playing this amount of games, so let's see how they hold up.

Last season games played in their respective leagues:

Michkov- 48 (KHL)

Hutson- 38 (NCAA) + 7 (WJC) + 2 (NHL) = 47 total

Celebrini- 38 (NCAA) + 5 (WJC)= 43 total

Because Celebrini’s CF Rel% and FF Rel% are outrageous. They’re similar to McDavid, Kucherov, Kaprizov, and Makar

Which is why I have him first right now in my posts in this thread. Plus minus is still a terrible stat to use and that is what the other posters were trying to use against Huston which is laughable.

Hutson’s like an annoying Chihuahua out there, but he is effective. I still think Celebrini & Michkov are ahead of him. Great race this year

Huston is insanely underrated around here
Half the people on the past few pages have been singing his praises and saying he should be the favorite, or at least #2 behind Celebrini…?

What would you have us say to make him properly rated, call for him to win the Norris?
