Enough excuses for Andersen and Nylander

Andersen: if the leafs have any chance of going far in the playoffs, I think they need to make Campbell the #1 goalie. Andersen has no passion in his game. Nor does he even care if he performs poorly. Andersen is not the same goalie when he played for the Ducks. Campbell is at least a fighter when he plays and he gives the team more confidence to make those big stops. Wish we could trade for georgiev or even Kuemper. Its really frustrating to think that our goaltending is what that will lead the leafs to lose everything in the playoffs and it really needs to be addressed. We need a goalie who steps up when it matters and to make those big saves.

Nylander: What a disappointment. He says that he will dominate. Well, where are you Nylander? The most inconsistent player. All talk. He is such a puck hog who handles puck like a grenade. Misses the net like all the time, always giving away the puck, gets bumped off the puck easily and he skates around in circles like a figure skater. If Nylander was performing like Pastrnak then the leafs would be an unstoppable team. Nylander needs to be traded. Really wish we traded him for Dubois.

Nope. This is what I have been observing all the years Andersen and Nylander has been Leafs. Andersen was awesome when he first came on board with the leafs but his play has been declining rapidly. Nylander on the hand is so inconsistent and very frustrating to watch.

Nothing, I am just talking about them both and how poorly they have been playing.

Nah Nylander is fine. He is just in a rut like every player can be sometimes. It's just more visible for him because people attack him endlessly when he is struggling. When he is on like he is most of the time, very few people give him credit.

Fact is Nylander has been on the ice for a total of 6 goals at even strength this year.

Can't call it luck, or it negates the point that he has just been unlucky in the past few games scoring. He has hit the post twice, was robbed tonight, set up Kerfoot, Hyman, Tavares and Muzzin who all didn't finish.

He's awful

Okay fair enough. We will see how this season goes for him and in post season. Let’s see if the dominant Nylander will play.

No, its based on the last 2 years. I am talking about players who are consistently performing. Those are the players who aren’t a waste of money.
