What, and be Steve Simmons’ed for reporting on medical issues……….Did any media member actually ask him what his injury was?
We can say what it is now, right?

They were spoiled under Dubas and idiotic signings screwed the financial viability of the squad. They also caved to the kids' every demand by handing idiotic NMC/NTCs with no repercussions or concessions. But this is what happens when you head the reins to a complete rookie GM who is learning on the job. Dubas could be a complete whiz kid with stats or technocratic affairs (also debatable), but lacked basic managerial and planning abilities that often only come with time and experience.I think Dubas created the monster, they seemed good under granpa Lou’s short leash……..
Auston Matthews is a generational passenger. To many passengers? MF when you take all the money and driving luxury vehicles you're getting people who take public transportation as your coworkers.
More importantly, Bruins MANAGEMENT didn’t put up with it. And by all accounts, players loved it there. It wasn’t some boot camp operation.Bruins fans would not put up with 9 years of that from a core and Marchand would know that. They moved on from guys like Thornton/Seguin/Kessel/Hamilton/etc.
If we let that guide our decision making, then we deserve what we have coming to us in Game 7 next year, and the years following. No first round pick for the next 3 drafts.
Auston Matthews is a generational passenger.
That's all he ever will be. There's no dog in him except at a negotiation table. None.
no chance McDavid's coming to Toronto.............it's like believing the Leafs will win a Game 7. It's a nice little fantasy, but nothing moreI think if they win the cup that actually increases the odds he’ll leave. He would have accomplished what he wanted to in Edmonton. I think McDavid will think about coming home, we all know he wants to. July - September will be important to watch to see if he signs
Cause and effect buddy, cause and effect……..Embarrassed to be a leaf fan with how the fanbase is reacting. Booing the team, throwing jerseys on the ice... grow up.
If the opposing coach needs to come out to defend these sorry sacks of overpaid crap...
It sickens me that the entire f***in league rushes to their defense.
If there was even a perfect analogy this is it, thankfully since Dubas’ departure they no longer ice the seven dwarves……..The Leafs are Snow White and MLSE is Disney
Wow that guys got real problems.Cause and effect buddy, cause and effect……..
Yeah, but the Leafs did avoid the reverse sweep, something to build off?Wow that guys got real problems.
I was just embarrassed by losing 6 straight 1st rounds, losing to Zamboni drivers, blowing 3-1 series leads against Montreal, losing a play in series to Columbus and getting absolutely destroyed in 2 home games to lose Smithers game 7 series. But that jersey tossing…yikes.
Businesses make money, 9 seasons of playoff hockey is good business. There's a chance without Marner we don't make the playoffs, the guys making the decisions won't like.to hear that.If we move from any or all of the core 4 I will really lose my shit if anyone tries to play the "leafs fans quit on player xyz" or "didn't treat them well". 9 years to get it done. And by get it done, I don't even mean win the cup (which is the actual goal here) but just show up and win a game 7 and improve each year.
Who else gets 9 years of chances in their job? Anyone?
Make sure to send two copies to Riley……..Gonna buy a copy of this for every Leaf to read over the summer:

My guess is a sunny bottom feeder like the Ducks or Sharks………Chicago knows what it takes to win a cup. Mitch Marner ain't it.
A President’s Trophy fan, wow……….Some of you weren't here when we made the playoffs once in ten years and it shows.
Tell me if you can’t find 1 more level of hate after they sign Marner and Tavares again this summer.I've never hated this team more.
Get fkd Shanahan.
Truth hurts. The gap between the two countries in talent doesn't look that far from being closed.Hey bud, lay off the 'roids
I live in Boston.More importantly, Bruins MANAGEMENT didn’t put up with it. And by all accounts, players loved it there. It wasn’t some boot camp operation.
Full passenger quote for context.
Still sounds bad overall to me.
