We knew it would be. But he did confirm a few things and basically it's up to Treliving to carry the torch now.
Did people expect him to throw people under the bus and flip a table?
I do think they could and should have just waited until Treliving was back from Calgary to do a bigger duo talking spot.

All we needed to know is Shanahan progress stalled and it cost him his job. Pelley said it without throwing him under the bus.

It was a mistake to hold this press conference without Treliving, even if it meant delaying it a few days. Someone needs to answer some hard questions about the team's future and Pelley clearly has nothing substantive to say on that. Instead we just got a bunch of platitudes (and some worrying ones at that: "We made strides" ... yes, but also no).

What an utter waste of time
Did anyone else get the impression that this felt more like an an ego driven press conference instead of an informatory one, why couldn't this wait until Brad was available next week there was no need for this right now

Right there is where Leafs and other money making teams will make a difference bc majority of teams will struggle to spend close to the max as they just don't have the money to.
Now they want to run it back because of what's happening with Florida and Carolina... hopefully Carolina takes the next 4 so that we can actually make changes..
