Rumor: End of an era with Boeser and Canucks. Boeser: "Honestly its unlikely at this point (to re-sign)". Where does he go and for how much?

I could get some crayons and break it down for you but alas I think my time would be better off trying to teach my dog Chinese.........as you were sir
Hughes is as good as gone.

You really don't have any top line prospects or top young defenceman coming.

Elias Pettersson is hot garbage. I've never seen a player have such a downfall. Fans all over the nhl can agree with me on this. There's a reason Boeser is leaving this shitshow.

Wellllll..........unlike Holloway and Broberg the last I looked he was still under contract with our team for the next 2 years.........at least we will get to enjoy those!

At least the Oil got a solid return for both Broberg and Holloway right? I mean they must have gotten an absolute haul for a 23 year old second/third line center who scored 26 goals this year no? Same goes for a top 4 d.......

*checks ChatGPT

"Broberg's contract ($9.16 million, $4.58 million average annual value) resulted in a second-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft as compensation. Holloway's contract ($4.58 million, $2.29 million AAV) resulted in a third-round pick. "

Ohhhh my..........wait just a second there..........

What's this have to do with the Canucks being garbage and having their stars leave one by one after losing to the Oilers?

Now you are inferring you dont have respect.

In case you actually wanted to check.......

All 3 expected to be with the Canucks to start next season

Tom Willander 20 year old RHD projected top 4 D
Elias Pettersson 21 year old LHD projected to be top 4 if not top pairing D
Jonathan Lekkerimäki 20 year old RW WJC MVP and Brock Boeser replacement

Your Canucks knowledge seemed a little shaky thought I would help out........

They're all average and will amount to nothing probably except Lekkerimaki.

This proves my point of the Oilers sending the canucks into a rebuild though.

Ok then - got it. Come on admit you are still confused as to how Elias Pettersson all of a sudden lost 5 years and became a d man.

And if you believe that then I have a bridge to sell you that will be a veryyyyyy good price just for you sir........(you probably the guy at the strip club thinking the stripper is into them too aren't u?)

I've watched Pettersson he's nothing special lol...and I actually have been married for awhile now. I don't go to the strip club and never needed too...that's a thing for simps.

Great on Pettersson ........did you happen to watch him destroy Kadri with that textbook open ice hit? Wow that was a thing of beauty........Kind of doubt you did with your current assessment of him

Stop being melodramatic. The script you wrote is good for some tragic romance movie. Boeser is leaving because he wants to get paid more, that's it. Canucks don't want to sign him more than his worth. Didnt see anyone write some novel about a tragic story when Rantanen left the Avs. Didn't see Mckinnon get a divorce from the team because his teammates left for money. But HFboard is definitely great entertainment for posts like this.

Yeah if you ask Boeser he would love to stay and never wanted to leave. It's the team clearly making the decision here...........which if you ask most Van fans they would say they agree with.

Love Brock prince of a guy but totally fine with seeing him leave for the contract he expects to get

Am also fine with Boeser leaving. I mean even 8 million is too much when you think about it. We signed DeBrusk as a FA last year and he has more goals and more of an impact than Boeser, also faster and tougher. I never saw Boeser as a core guy, more of a complimentary guy that needed Miller to play at his peak. Rather invest that money and get Alex Tuch or Bennett. Tough guys that can make a difference even when not scoring. Boeser only has his shot which he rarely uses and has been streaky throughout his career. He is a good player but nothing to lose sleep over and he has been one of the players Canucks fans always wanted to trade or most talked about regarding trades.

If Brock Boeser is a solid guy in the dressing room, a guy who will hold others accountable and provide veteran leadership, AND gets 60 points or so if healthy then yes you pay him $8 Mill AAV. Vancouver needs guys like that in the line up.

If he isn't those things, and is just an oft injured 50-60 point guy, then Allvin is right to let him walk and buyer beware in the free agent market.

I don't know what he is really so Canuck fans will have to chime in and clarify.
He’s basically Mike Hoffman 2.0 - a one dimensional goal scorer who’s good for 30 on a regular season but can’t drive play or provide anything else.

He’s painfully slow and injury prone right now. More seasons of injury are not going to help his flaws, especially skating in a game that gets faster every year.

He’s a solid trigger man but he needs someone to drive play and feed him. He can’t make much on his own and his play in the other 2 zones is subpar. He should y taken that 8x5 and stick around but someone will probably give him the 2 extra years he’s after. Don’t forget he was almost a cap dump at 6.5 just 2 years ago.

Exactly. He is a complimentary player, a rich man's Toffoli but I actually take Toffoli over Boeser since Toffoli seems a lot more consistent in goal scoring. I think the Canucks could easily replace him with someone better at 8 million like Ehlers or trade for Alex Tuch.

It's what they do. Like putting 2 dogs in close proximity to each other, they start barking
They still can't get over the fact that we swept them last season in our regular season meetings and beat them badly in a couple of games. Even when we are irrelevant this season, they can't forget the bad memories from last season.

Good points minus the injury prone. This year he missed a few games due a concussion on an illegal hit. But otherwise the last 2 years he’s barely missed a game and still played 74 3 years ago.
