After these games I struggle to think we stole Trouba at 9th overall. This is that number 1 Norris winner of the future right here. Just build around it and wins will come as will the playoffs and possibly a cup

I mean, really guys, you don't think we know the anthem in French!?!

Great fight by Peluso.

Scheifele looked solid.

Albert scores his first NHL goal!

Trouba WILL win the Norris Trophy at some point in his career, and maybe a Conn Smythe

I hope Troubs wins 5 conn smythes before he wins even 1 Norris:nod:

They are replaying the radio feed for the Jets goals tonight right now .... BM has NEVER been that excited nor that good on the radio . Hope BM is ok with whatever the injury or ailment is or was , but when he looks in the mirror I bet he sees the ghost of Wally Pipp.

Edmonds ( and Hnidy ) are really really good on the radio . At least to my ears.

Come on man you know I'm not talking about that #10, I meant the other one, the guy in the HOF.;)

Does Paul Edmonds sound like he enjoyed calling his first Jet win?

BM should look up Wally Pipp. Just saying . Do us a favour 1290 .

Edmonds quote on a two on one "and Wheeler makes a good play using Ladd as the plastic duck...". I say gold Jerry, gold

Game Summary:

Olli Jokinen walked in and punched us in the dick. The End.

Maybe its time to start giving Trouba some #1 PP time. For that matter Scheifele on the wall might also allow us to be a little more creative.

I didn't get to see the game because I was at the curling, but did they finally put Mark on the half boards?

"Paris of Canada", thank you very much.

The story that they did put up is so homer-y with every possible negative highlighted for the Jets. I'll summarize it for everyone:

Jokinen's first goal was lucky as he benefited from a strange bounce, the second one "trickled through", the crowd (well, at least, everyone here at NHL.com) wanted a penalty shot on the Rangers' breakaway. And have you heard how bad the Jets suck on the power play? Really, really bad. Let me give you some stats about that that don't really have anything to do with this game. Also, when that one Ranger gave away the puck on the Albert goal, he was immediately stuck on the fourth line because, well, that's just how embarrassing giving up a goal to the Jets is.

Oh yeah and by the way the Rangers came up a bit short .. I think it was something like ... 5-2 ... bye, gotta go.

Fantastic. :handclap: I love it when these marquee teams taste the bile in their mouths when they lose to mediocre teams from non-descript towns. They have a hard time facing the fact that the Jets are actually a better team than the NYR this year.

The Alain Vigneault Rangers are way more fun to watch than the John Tortorella Rangers. Even if the Jets had lost this one I would have been highly entertained.
