Liked the way he came back from Eichel skate to face and scored a goal. If Heineman has a good second half should get some Calder votes
This kid has played some very good hockey, plays a heavy game, and what a shot he has......another game yesterday where he goes to the net, and gets a goal!!Liked the way he came back from Eichel skate to face and scored a goal. If Heineman has a good second half should get some Calder votes
Yeah an Eller with more swagger and better decision making or more decisive ant least. Almost better at everything and I was an Eller fan. This guy is my new Lars Eller, the type of player who is very useful in ways that don't always show up in the post game stats.
Eller was better defensively, in transition and in puck protectionYeah an Eller with more swagger and better decision making or more decisive ant least. Almost better at everything and I was an Eller fan.
Heineman is a winger as well and is only in his first full NHL season. He is a very good bottom 6 player that can and will be a 20 goal scoring forechecking machine.Eller was better defensively, in transition and in puck protection
Don’t expect him to score 20 goals each years but yes a Goodrow type of playerHeineman is a winger as well and is only in his first full NHL season. He is a very good bottom 6 player that can and will be a 20 goal scoring forechecking machine.
If Eller was better at those things, I’m not sure it’s by much. But those are finer points of the game where my memory is shakey so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt.Eller was better defensively, in transition and in puck protection
Heineman is good at open ice for puck protection but I cansee argument against the boards given size differenceIf Eller was better at those things, I’m not sure it’s by much. But those are finer points of the game where my memory is shakey so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt.
He had great IQ but only in 2/3 zones. And I think Eller had great hands, I always think his issue was actually making a play once he gained the Ozone.Eller had rock hands and the brain of a stegosaurus.
Emile is 10x the player Larry was, no offense.
I wasn't comparing them in that sense but rather for the things they do that are important elements for winning games: the physical play, the forecheck, and the competitive level. We have two bottom six lines playing the same way, and if it continues, we will keep winning.Eller had rock hands and the brain of a stegosaurus.

10x eller is a 63 foot tall best of all time defensive center who is impossible to push off the puck and puts up between 300 and 450 points per year.Eller had rock hands and the brain of a stegosaurus.

He's making a case for 5th place but at this point it's hard to argue the top-4 aren't Celebrini, Michkov, Hutson, and Wolf in whatever order you prefer.Liked the way he came back from Eichel skate to face and scored a goal. If Heineman has a good second half should get some Calder votes
Not bad for a throw in.He is only going to get better. The Toffoli trade is looking good...finally
He really was superior, and vastly so, which is not to denigrate the very, very young Heineman. Eller was, in his prime, a premier defensive center, and ideal third-liner. Just by virtue of his position and, thus, role, Heineman will likely never have the defensive impact of a center like Eller, but he is poised to contribute in myriad other ways that Eller did not during his tenure. If Eller was better at those things, I’m not sure it’s by much. Wasn't he the centerpiece along with the first? I know that many teams coveted him.Not bad for a throw in.
He was a 2nd round prospect. The first round pick was the main draw. Fair enough though, maybe not accurate to call him a throw in.He really was superior, and vastly so, which is not to denigrate the very, very young Heineman. I don't want to overhype our young guns but this could be Heineman next year10x eller is a 63 foot tall best of all time defensive center who is impossible to push off the puck and puts up between 300 and 450 points per year.
