Mike Mcphee was the best

Damn near won a cup with him Russ Courtnall and Guy Carbonneau as our top line.
That is what I mean when I say he can play a very instrumental role as part of a defacto top line.
It is rarely the prettiest pieces that get the job done good teams generally only use those on an as needed basis.

He's becoming someone I watch on every shift to see what he can do. His play on Armia's goal was strength, determination, and skill. That line has been good when the others weren't and now that the rest of the team is playing better it only makes them more valuable.

Me too you end up noticing a ton of detail that tends to get over looked like him seeing executing a play properly and on time.
If it doesn't end up as a goal fans won't think much of it but we don't have many players who can do it consistently it's worth keeping track of.

What I’m most pleased about is the passing and brains. Two things I was worried about. More worried about the latter just thought he didn’t have much of the former.

Have to remember I saw some of his Laval highlights and he was actually showing some solid passing there.

He very well could be a fantastic top 6 complimentary guy, he just might not get that chance with us. Having 3 scoring lines though could be in the cards with our forward depth in a couple years.

But yeah the D, the motor, the skating, the physicality. One of my favourite players at the moment.

People may forget his torrid start in Laval.
The following year didn't produce the scoring most of us expected but he was doing all the little things very well.
He's a guy I trust to win zone exits along the boards we saw good examples of that these past two games. Never Cheats...

Lehkonen is incredible. Hopefully he does become better, but we used Lehks very wrong. He's loved in Colorado.

I agree with Colorado, Lekhonen play much better.

Yup the puck generally ends up going in the same direction he is when he's roaming the wall.
That has always been a good thing in my mind it makes the F2 and F3 read so much easier.

Lehky's SH% in Colorado is like 17% in 185 games. He's absolutely so much better than many people gave him credit for here.

I dream of Lehky and Heiny on the same line.

Thankfully, we moved on from Barron and Carrier has been a rock for us... the trade doesn't feel so bad now.

I definitely admit to being wrong on this player. For some reason it seems much more sustainable (maybe not his last 10 games but his overall season) than we've experienced with other guys in the past like Harvey-Pinard
