“Cawuh Makawuh.” — my six year old cousin

What’s the Avs’ record since Val came back? I’m thinking it’s probably not too bad.

8-0-1 since he’s been back.

13-0-1 in his last 14 games.

Last regulation loss with him in the lineup was December 16 against Vancouver.

This phenomenon needs to be studied.

Like how can one single player who isn't necessarily the best or even second best player on the team have such a huge impact on the ability to win games.

He is an unbelievable hockey player. Truly, there is not a single wart in his game.

Big, fast, great technical skater, powerful, goes to the net, can dangle, has a great shot, motor never stops, very high hockey IQ.

If it wasn't for his drug addiction, he would be my favourite Av currently and likely top five all time. He just can't be trusted until he proves otherwise.

It’s a good question. I think he’s a unique player and is underrated by many non-Avs fans (and even some of us too). One of the best wingers in the league. Him being in the lineup is what takes the Avalanche over the line from being a top-heavy team to being a team that gives you problems up and down the lineup.

I also don’t give a shit that he likes to party. I just wish my dude could save it for the offseason.

I believe there is a Jagr quote out there from years ago saying that when Nuke figures it out he will be the best player in the league. I honestly think we may be there. I’m not sure what other 200ft complete player I would take over him.

Reactions: The Moops
More than any other player, Nichushkin is able to drive his own line away from MacK and gives teams a very difficult assignment matchup.

If you want your best D pair to focus on MacK, Nuke is going to feast on your weaker pairings.

Like @dahrougem2 said, he’s a complete hockey player. He lacks absolutely nothing.

When he’s on, opponents have to try and shut down MacK and Nuke for over 40 minutes of a 60 minute game. Good luck.

Exactly why this little bitch will never be a champion.
IYKYK what a massive bitvh-wagon douchenne is. I spent a many year rooting for him as an AV. I suppose the good news is that if this is the prevailing thought from the stars they fail to see what happened tonight and we will keep beating their asses. Better refs … could have been worse for them.

Ok - keep the winning boys
