Yeah, I really hope it doesn't cost them. Spending all those assets on Nelson and Coyle, there didn't seem to be much left for a defensemen beyond too valuable assets like Gulyayev and future 1st round picks, though it would have been nice to rope in Romanov to the Nelson deal somehow.

They definitely tried to get Carlo, but I bet they were going for a full 50% in order to make everything work.

Yeah I have a Duchene jersey for the same reason. Was devastated when he was traded even though the return was great.

Over time it’s become more and more apparent shipping him out was the best choice. I’d argue that MacKinnon wouldn’t be the player he is today if we didn’t get rid of Matt.
