lol I get that the Rantanen story is huge, but the fact that they haven’t talked about Necas at all when he has more points on the season is hilarious to me. Added to that total with another clutch goal.
Necas getting traded wasn't a big surprise, Rantanen was. It's not really that hilarious or difficult to understand. Necas has been terrific this season, and will probably be terriffic with us going forward, but he's not the superstar in name that Rantanen is.

He should (and very well could) be. He’s been just as key to our offense this season as Rantanen was in past seasons.

It will likely forever be viewed as the Rantanen trade because of the fumble by Carolina, but it’s possible that Necas could be the best player involved.

That's the problem I have with Nelson, he doesn't do enough of anything. He's a 6'4" Mittelstadt IMHO.
You've gotta give him some time. It's game 5 after over a decade playing for one organization and likely one specific way.

If those posts he's hit went in we're talking about a deadline acquisition who would have 3 goals and 1 assist in 4 games. He's going to be alright. It's just confusion, it's not a bad hockey player. He just ran into Nichushkin along the wall on his last shift. He's figuring it out.

Maybe he will be, maybe he won't. But he has not been so far in their careers, and it really isn't taking anything away from Necas that this story is understandably focused around Rantanen.

Necas was going to be traded from Carolina at some point. Him being a part of this trade isn't really that remarkable.

Dallas had ONE shot by a forward the entire period, which was the Robertson goal courtesy of the referee. Four shots in total, with basically only speculative point shots.

Conversely the Avs are driving the play, leading12-2 in scoring chances. 3-1 in High danger chances. Need to turn that puck control into goals though.

Yes if 3 shots that missed the net instead went in we'd be happier with him.

He better figure it out before the playoffs. Avs paid a high price for him and so far a re sign looks like a poor decision.

Lol the intermission is all about how good of a forechecking team Dallas is and how good that forecheck was on their 1st goal.

Not one mention about how the Avs dominated the entire period.
TNT and ESPN have always sucked up to the Dallas market.

I get it that he looks lost systematically, but you want that extra speed or extra grit or extra bite to his game. He doesn't need to be as physically dominant as Kadri was, but you just want a bit extra and he doesn't provide it IMHO. He has never had it, even with Islanders during his prime. I am still wishing him all the best and it is true he could have three goals by now with all the posts, but I want to see him more from him at boardbattles.

I was a little bit surprised at the ratio of cheers to boos during the Moose tribute video. Hardly any boo birds in the crowd, considering how big the online backlash has been.
