WWE: Elimination Chamber 2025

You know, it really sucks that Travis Scott was in the ring for this segment, because now he'll forever be associated with one of WWE's iconic moments. It was an all-timer, and this charisma vacuum will be in every replay from here on out.

Also, that slap...Although it wouldn't surprise me if Cody told him to really lay it in there, I get the impression it wasn't supposed to go like THAT. It was more of a full palm strike to the face. It's tough because he's obviously not trained a gimmick a wrestling strike and you wouldn't want it to come across looking ultra fake..but yikes. Wonder if he got a talking to backstage.

You couldn't go into WM with 2 of the biggest babyface of their generation to sell a PPV. It was pretty clear what was going to happen the moment both rock and Cody came to the ring and Cena was still in it.

This. I honestly hated Scott being involved in the segment, ruined any immersion. Biggest heel turn in the business since Hogan nWo and they have this guy in the corner lighting a joint with a dumb look on his face or whatever he was doing.

I get it, brand exposure + views but that wasn't the time or place for it, massive fail. He should've stayed on the outside of the ring out of frame.
 
Cena heel turn feels owed to him, a kind of thank you since Cena wasn't given the opportunity to turn heel at his peak with Vince in charge. Vince granted Austin his wish and flipped him heel at WM17, which ultimately killed business. Have to think in Vince's eyes he wasn't going to make that mistake again with Cena.

I don't know who Travis Scott is but I think he handled the "stooge" role fine. :dunno:

Scott was out of place but it didn’t really influence my opinion of the segment. WWE clearly wanted this to reach as big of an audience as possible

Yeah, him staying in the ring once Rocky showed up was the tell.

The only other scenario would be Cody telling Rock to f*** off and then Rock looking like a bitch

It can not be just "henchmen", it needs to be a faction that can represent Cena/Rock when they are not there and be taken serious as a threat. First name that comes to mind fits perfectly because of his current issues with Cody and that is Kevin Owens.

...makes sense, cuz Orton is close with Cody and it looks to be Orton & Owens at Wrestlemania...the Bloodline joins with Rock and Roman comes out and goes full FACE, catches a beatdown by his cousins and Rock vs Roman is born again...
 
This whole build is going to be awesome as hell. As a Cody fan I want him to retain at WM but I don't see that happening, we shall see.

I do feel sorta bad for Jey though. He won the Royal Rumble which should mean main eventing WrestleMania (and he's Main Event Jey Uso after all lol), now I know some Royal Rumble winners for the men's side, haven't always been the main event but as thing's stand now. Jey vs. Gunther doesn't seem like a marquee WrestleMania match-up. Still some time for that to change though. We shall see.
 
I'm all in on this. Once Drew, Priest, and Paul were gone, the Men's match got really good. Seth costing Punk and screaming die has Cena choked him out was great. Cena showing zero hesitation to win that way was a nice bit of foreshadowing.

Heel turn was awesome. Travis Scott being there was then only negative, but it's not enough of one to ruin it.

I didn't think it was that surprising though (which isn't a bad thing). Cena's rumble presser was quite heelish so he seemed like a real candidate to take Rock up on his offer, and it seemed obvious the chamber winner was going to go this way.

Doesn't diminish it being a great turn

That presser is exactly why I joked Cena should be the corporate champ when others were suggesting Punk... I also wouldn't call it either surprising or unsurprising, when Cena stayed in teh ring with Rock and Cody, there was 2 options.... Cody going Homelander and attacking Cena... or Cena selling his soul for #18.
