With OEL's buyout and Pearson and Poolman on the LTIR (neither is going to play pro hockey again) the Canucks have 12 million to add a center and a couple of depth D....I think we'll be fine. We're also jettisoning Myers' contract next season too.

We'll be fine, and hopefully competing, soon.

So between that premise smashed, and both sides saying they're interested in a new deal, you can't afford Pettersson.

Habs have zero incentives to trade a 5oa pick and the best dman prospect in the NHL as well as a rookie that paced for 30pts in his 1st NHL season for Pettersson.

Habs have their #1-2C in Suzuki and Dach. Unless said players comes "cheap" like PLd, we ain't trading the farm for one

Retooling is now snowballing downhill? Damn.

When your core is still Pettersson, Kuzmenko, Miller, Hughes and Demko. That isn’t really spirally downhill. Let’s save that for when core players leave
