Drance had a bunch of ideas on how to give Pettersson the best opportunity to turn things around.

(Queue the 11.6 player shouldn't need that comments...)

I don't remember the exact percentage but Pettersson is getting something like 40% oz starts. For reference, Miller is around 60%. Flip that, to give Pettersson an advantage. (Drance mentioned it might be like that due to Miller's injury or that Pettersson in those starts may not be as effective as Miller etc)

He pointed at how Miller and Boeser are basically glued to Hughes. They play the most with Hughes as a 3/5 man unit. Stems from when Pettersson was "on" and Hughes would dominate control of the ice go off and the team could depend on EP to do the same when Hughes was on the bench. He suggests giving EP more time with Hughes.

Dodd points at line juggling and says maybe the fix is just setting a line and letting them go for an extended period. Let EP and say DeBrusk if he's on that line know, we're not changing anything you guys just tune out the noise and play until you find your way.

Its quite hard to swallow the, we signed Pettersson in the middle of the season and Hronek last year, to massive deals and right now both of them are struggling combined 6 points only, I hope these kids turn it around or it could be brutal if they can't produce, as both of them occupy a ton of cap space. just not good enough.

Does this look like a guy who's unhappy in Vancouver?

I haven't decided if I actually want us to trade him, but if we did, do you think we'd be able to land something like Toews + Mittelstadt for Pettersson + Myers?

Trying to see if there's a way for us to address our defensive issues if we do make a trade.

I think Colorado fans would say no to this, but if Pettersson returns to form then this would be a solid deal for them.

And if Pettersson has any chance to return to form, it's playing behind MacKinnon, Makar and Rantanen. His offensive responsibility will be super low (so no pressure on his shoulders) and he'll have all kinds of talent around him to get him going.

People have always been jerks and there's less moderation on social media channels for whatever reason these days. You also see a ton of bots post controversial messages to draw reactions or attention to specific channels or profiles.

Edit: I clicked on one profile and they follow 680 profiles and have 2 people following them.
Yeah this isn't talked about enough. So much crap and stupid discourse isn't even started by real people. It's actually pretty dangerous because then you have narratives arise that real people do end up fighting over and can even influence politics and none of it is actually genuine. Started by bots. There's so much stuff on social media I try to tell people, don't get all outraged. It's not real. Same for all these outrageous incidents you see videos of. So many of them are just stunts but they'll provoke so much outrage.

Anyway, sorry to go off topic. Just wanted to comment on that.

Im have not exactly been a Hronek truther and will gladly say he is worth his contract this year so far.

Mittelstadt's currently doing well, over pt/g and he's cheap. I'm also not sure why they would want to downgrade their D.

If Canucks are still in a position to trade later, it means Petey's still struggling and the other team is gambling hard. I don't see Canucks having any leverage. This kind of performance to contract ratio is potentially franchise crippling.

You are looking for a team able to take his contract and in a contention window right now.

The return would be salary dump / futures type of deal most likely.
