Unsure how the league/Parros "going after TML", when the decision didn't lead to suspension. OEL can still play in Leafs next game. He did deserve a fine here, gimme a break. How is it a reverse hit when he never had control of the puck there?
Actually 4 interference suspensions, and 4 interference fines (plus Matheson's), but not a single one was for a reverse hit in front of the puck (except Matheson's)22/23 there were 4 incidents, didn’t check last year.

Amazing,Scrabble in Montreal gets to go cave man on people’s head for a fine and then this gets the exact same punishment. Spin that wheel.
Nah, take away Ottawa's first round pick. That'll show them. Why not fine the entire team? The Leafs need to serve as an example to the others.
The "fine" is now a precursor for the inevitable BS 6 game suspension in the playoffs for a "repeat offender".Very clear interference and the “fine” is absolutely nothing. Some Leafs fans…lol
That wouldn't even be all that surprising. Dang, it's sad that we're joking like this.Nah, take away Ottawa's first round pick. That'll show them.
Hopefully the league is finally just cracking down on these and OEL is the first example. There is a difference between a “true” reverse hit ala Forsberg and straight up interference. It’s not even clear that Guentzel was even going to initiate contact and OEL didn’t have full possession of the puck.
Dahlin had a similar hit on Hischier a few years back. It looks like Hischier was going for a poke check and Dahlin throws himself backwards towards a defenseless Hischier.
It’s a dangerous play
It's wild to me that some fans of one of the richest sports teams in the entire world, in any sport, have become convinced that "the league" is out to get them. Is this something that comes from Toronto sports media, or is it rooted deeper than that?
$5,000 for protecting the puck
I don't even know if this is true, but *a* team does have to be the most fined/suspended team over any span of time.It comes from being the most suspended and fined team of the past 5+ years. OEL getting a bogus fine is simply a right of passage of him being a Leaf.
lol so you went from implying it’s imagination to now saying it’s circumstantial. I thought the Leafs were the softest team in the league?I don't even know if this is true, but *a* team does have to be the most fined/suspended team over any span of time.
You're not even trying with your schtick anymore.Deserved, dirty hit that Leafs fans would cry about for literally years if it happened to one of their players

Would you think the "softest team in the league" would be the most fined/suspended?
