It gets you thinking - maybe this is why Ville is slotting in on his off wing.
I'm just spit ballin' here because I'm bored - if they were to let Pionk walk, they need to replace him and hoping they can find a top 4 RHD via the open market is a long shot.
Ehlers drives that second line - and probably will continue to drive it even if we pick up another center - and he's good at it.
2 mil is a big underpay. 4-4.5 is probably pretty good value, as long as the term isn't too long. But what will he get in UFA after the season he is having? 7-8 with the way the cap is rising? And probably at least 2 years too long, maybe more.
I don't want us trying to compete with that. Heinola might be a viable replacement, IF he can transition to the right side well enough.
