EGDT - Colorado vs Xenforo Flames

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Calgarys first goal seemed like it might have been offsides but never really got a great look at it (the eventual goal scorer) to know one way or the other. Surprised they weren’t looking at it for at least a second, but maybe it was very clearly onsides from the views they had.

Mittelstadt was shit for 40 games.

Nelson has been bad for 3. Was good against the Leafs.

I’m willing to give him 10-15 games. He played for one organization his entire 15 year career. There’s a period of adaptation.
The transition from living on Lawn Guyland to living in the Rocky Mountains is huge.

Colorado River >>>>>> Hudson River

Give Nelson a bit of time. I still don't like him on PP1 at all but he doesn't all of a sudden suck. Chemistry takes time when you're trying to score. It's easy when you're trying to check and defend the way Coyle is.
On paper the Drouin - Nelson - Nuke line is perfect and it worked perfectly for their first game. But they had 1 great game followed by 3 very bad ones.

I really wonder why it happened and if time will fix it. I really hope so.

Also PP1 was finally good (after weeks/months of misery) until Bednar for no apparent reason decided to replace Drouin with Nelson.

He doesn’t look comfortable there. Wasn’t he he the net front guy in new york?

If it was effort issues I get it. However, Nelson is clearly skating well and battling.

There have been so many instances where he isn't reading the play properly especially when Nichushkin has the puck. Last night specifically Nuke had the puck in the corner and put it to where he expected Nelson to go, but Nelson went the opposite way and Nichushkin put his hands up like "what just happened?"

It'll come. He's still figuring out how to play with new linemates and a new team while trying to provide offense.

He's hit what, 3 posts. If they had gone in the narritive would be a bit different.

I do wonder if guys who have only played for one team sometimes have a harder time being traded to new teams.

We've heard guys who get traded here saying it takes some time to get used to playing for the Avs, especially Manson when he arrived said it took him a while.

I don't doubt it's difficult for Nelson to switch from 12/13 years playing for the Islanders to now playing for the Avs.
