Looking at what Tampa just paid for Gourde and Bjokstrand this price seems better
2 1sts, 2nd and Esyimont
and we got double retention, so he counts for 575K.

People keep calling Frederic a 3rd liner but we lack net front presence in the top six and should roll with him. McDavid could bounce 10 extra goals off him and he's already a better option for Drai's line than Arvy/Podz/Skinner imo

Savoie-Drai-Frederic might be a great future line given their styles.

Agreed.
Being in the top 6 worked quite well with Maroon and Frederic has better hands so it seems like a no brainer to me.

Jones gets his first game tonight, he's a huge guy. I hope for a positive impact.

He seems like a true energy player.
Someone who is going to stir things up which (along with size) is an element this team badly needs.

I think part of the reason why the Oilers have been so bad protecting the net front and so bad with their puck management is because they are just so emotionally flat. They arent emotionally invested enough in the game...just like at the begining of the season.

Players like this help to emotionally drag their team into games and its not like he hasnt been an effective 4th liner in the NHL before. Prior to this season he averaged over 12 min TOI and averaged 60 games per season.
I believe he can PK too,

So he does have some NHL quality game in him to go along with his size.
The adrenaline should be pumping for him tonight.

Surprised at how soft his hands are.

Plays a tough heavy game and has good wheels too.

Curious to know why his game didnt transition to the NHL as well as it should have.
