Man I’m so comfortable with letting Hyman go. He can go on and score 100 this year, doesn’t matter.

He was what he was with the leafs, he didn’t deserve the contract specially when we’re so tight to the cap space so scoring allot of goals thisbyear playing with McDavid…great good for him.

Question I want to answer is how many would 34 score if he played with McD???
 
The first round is gonna be a all out war. You wann know why? The top 3 teams in the league in Hits per game are:

1. Florida Panthers
2. Boston Bruins
3. Toronto Maple Leafs

Playoffs are a month away, and only 3 more Saturday night games left in the regular season. The opponents in the next 3 aren't much so this feels like a game to enjoy to the max. I haven't been all that excited in general last few months as it doesn't feel like we're going anywhere in the playoffs (as usual) but still, playoffs are exciting no matter what and if a goalie gets hot for us you never know. the playoffs are less than a month away so time to start getting back into it.

I don't care much about individual goal scoring so if Matthews scores that's great, if he doesn't I don't care, ideally the team wins tonight and looks good in the process. Hoping for an exciting, well played game in any case.

Just think if we weren’t that close to the cap we could have kept some good players

Brodie and Gio aint playoff starters. Brodie is literally a healthy scratch for a reason

I thought Edmonton was making a HUGE mistake with Hyman.........

Obviously wrong.

Hindsight etc etc.

Very rare to see a guy go on to this kind of success and I'm very happy for him.

He will absolutely hit 50 tonight because ex-Leafs just can't help but score against us.

"50 goal scorer, Zach Hyman" wtf? Incredible.

Brodie is a starter. Just needs some time off, he will start in round 1 100%

Gio is depth now, sure.

Man I so disagree here.

If we could go back in time, we'd have no problem finding the cap space for this guy. At the time we just didn't think we had that space for what we expected from him, and let him walk.

No way they'd let him go back then if they had a crystal ball, or shook the magic 8 ball and got a different answer.
 
Canadian teams treat the leafs like its game 7 of the finals.

Oilers will come out banging bodies to prove a point

lets be honest, hyman isn't anywhere close to 50 without 97 feeding him. But I like Hyman so there's nothing wrong with his accomplishment.
