Highly recommend Gregor and Winters The Business of Hockey interview with Kevin Gilmore. Gilmore has done a deep dive on Stanley Cup winning roster construction which led to creating the "Model Contending Team" as well as a deep look at amateur drafting. Very interesting stuff. (2 hr:05 mark)

Agreed.
I just have such a tough time what an asshole Winters has seemed to be in the past. But it’s a real good segment and Winters actually seems like a decent guy. And he’s clearly very bright.

It's a really great segment and look at the NHL sports entertainment product through a different lens. Brings dimension to Winters ... who is still a bit of a prickly asshole haha. Still he is a smart guy and this segment gives great insight into the blindspots of traditional management, some of the new thinking and approaches like Gilmore's deep dive into team development and drafting, and wrapped with some funny stories and anecdotes. Much more substantive and deeper than other largely puff piece interviews with agents.

Another episode where the goaltending conversation makes you want to bang your head against the wall.

You can tell Gregor has a lot of difficulty just admitting he was wrong, or a change in opinion as the facts change. "But he made one save before the end of the period!"

He's followed the exact same script each time we've played a game with a little attention on it over the past three weeks. I have no idea how it's possible that they have difficulty recognizing this.

They see it, but they can't go against the grain.

Complete coward radio. All of these tools

Who is stopping them from going against the grain? Perhaps the "cowards" simply have and are choosing to stick to an opinion that's different from yours.
They refuse to talk about the biggest weakness. With facts. Brushed aside or arrogant responses like Gregors.

Just from a pure logical POV, 80% of these guys are bootlickers.

Take the masses for being idiots.

Not a difference of opinion. They are straight up dumb or scared.

I like some of them. They are all scared though.

Which host are you buddies with?

Scared of what? Losing their media accreditation? Getting shunned or yelled at by Oilers' management, coaches or players? It doesn't really work that way in the real world.

Not everyone who disagrees with me is a dummy, bootlicker or coward and not everyone I meet and/or happen to agree with is my buddy either.

Sticking to opinions, even unpopular ones, is all part of what's been amusingly dubbed the engagement farming industry. A bit (or even a lot) of arrogance helps hosts and reporters remain part of that.
