Podcast (Audio) Edmonton Sports Radio - Part 7

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

Jason Gregor's job in the media is to give opinions on the radio & on-line and he's been doing it for a long time with a ton of confidence (which some see as arrogance). That definitely opens him up to criticism - especially when he's blatantly proven wrong. As far as I'm concerned, as long as Jason's not spewing anything harmful, he can say and/or delete anything he wants. I have way more issues with many of his Sports1440 on-air staffing decisions than with the sometimes spicy opinions he gives on various platforms.
EST definitely has the better roster, but far less reach.

Less reach for sure, but as a dedicated sports talk listener, I'm happy to choose quality over convenience while I'm in my car. In my house, I stream both through IHeart so the reach thing is irrelevant there.
If one is into juvenile bullshit sports radio, EST is your place to listen

Live in Vancouver and listen to EST every day, from 8am to the end of the day while WFH. They are great.C ompletely stopped listening to Spin Doctor Gregor, Oilers Nation. I sometimes get annoyed with certain people, but it's still genuine takes. Them and GYB are the only ones worth their salt.
