To use a basketball term, there’s something off about their “spacing” like they’re all converging to where the puck is a little too frequently. Because there are a number of 'hidden' 'dark' rules that the refs call penalties on, but refuse to release a comprehensive list of.
such as: Score, possession, number of previous calls, keeping it even, time of game, not fast enough, not sneaky enough, ect.

Pretty much just look at most apologists excuses
