I suppose it is a positive is the Leafs have held the Oilers to only 11 shots through two periods. Shame the Leafs have failed to bury the puck multiple times. Wouldn't even be down if it weren't for the Harvard boys being idiots.

People need to relax. An element of scoring is having bounces go your way. Simmonds rings one of the post, Nylander deflection barely goes wide, Matthews two amazing chances.

Matthews losing a ton of weight made him faster but his shot does not looks the same it seems. He seems hesitant

His shots have nothing to do with his weights. That's all in his wrists. Have you seen the ice? the puck bouncing all over the place

The passes he got from Nylander were bouncers and on the air. No one can one time those.

Yeah our power play has looked much better being split up this year. If Matthews would stop missing the net on every shot it would be lethal.

Finally managed to string some passes together and get some quality shots on net on that PP. This game has been an absolute snoozefest and the Oilers are completely dead in the water. Unfortunately, so are we.

They are trying to force "balance" when this team will never be balanced with the salary structure the way it is. Not sure why force something that isn't there.

Holl isn't the quickest and he almost got beat but that's 2 times ive seen him stop McDavid with speed which isn't easy. He's been decent tonight.

Really blows it could be a 0-0 game.

Seemed they got a little something going there. Powerplay was alright.

I'm thinking maybe a wide open 3rd.

Koskinen or however you spell it really hasn't been tested much with high danger chances and that muffin wrister hit the post. Leafs need to shoot more for f*** sakes.
