I defended Mike Reilly and this Esks offense all year. Like I suspected they were saving some wrinkles for the playoffs and executed very very well today.

Mike Reilly with as good a performance in the playoffs as you ever see.

Without the D completely folding in the 4th quarter and allowing the Stamps on the field almost the entire quarter Reilly would've passed for 400 or 400 yds.

Only 5 incompletions all game. 2 of them were dropped balls, 1 a knockdown.

Against this Stamps championship D.

Everybody give Reilly a bow. :handclap:

I love the fire in Jones. Gotta love how he let his defenders hear it in this one. Wasn't accepting anything less than this is our game to win. Let his D have an earful throughout the game.

Cornish tweeted this during the game while he was on the sidelines and then deleted it. Clown.

Not going to hold a couple garbage time TDs against them.

We clown pounded the 'best team in the CFL' and Reilly was brilliant. :D

When this game was on the line it wasn't even close.

Just disappointing to see them make this game this dramatic. They were bending the Stamps over and completely let off the gas. Bad habit.

I really wanted a total curb-stomping today. I wanted them to put up 50. I wanted them to hold the stamps to 15.

But this is still pretty freaking sweet.

Beating the Stampeders in 3 straight games is awesome. If they win the Grey Cup next week, I'm not completely sure that's better than beating the Stampeders in 3 straight games.

It's amazing how far this team has come in the past 2 seasons. This team was a clown show for years. Then Chris Jones shows up, and they're a winning team in the first year and in the second year they're going to the Grey Cup.

It's been a long time. I love it!

I loved how the editors on TSN stopped the replay to prove the announcers point of no PI without continuing on with the actual call, which I'm still not sure of.

I noticed that as well during the broadcast which often seemed to be siding with the Stamps about as much as the officials were.

What a joke the officiating was today. Good thing the Esks decided this was the game they needed to put a big pts differential in.

Whens the last time you saw two turnovers returned for TD's called back within minute. BOTH ruled no touchdown. Lol that we don't even get 1 of the turnovers without a challenge call. ffs.

I was melting down right about then.

We did put up 50. The clowns called two TD's back.

And the Stamps didn't even challenge it, it was the command center... Like wtf?

And then the command center pulled a random "unsportsmanlike conduct" penalty out of their ass that wasn't assessed on the field. "game management" rather than calling the rulebook at best, complete and utter bias at worst.

I'm also really curious about that one pass ruled as complete and as a complete pass followed by a "force-out." The rulebook seems to disagree with that ruling... that gave the Stamps 60 passing yards which led to a touchdown. The stamps receiver at no point had the ball and was down in bounds. Never seen a call like that before.

Otherwise, great game tonight. I loved the theatrics on the third down kick-fake, and i loved the call on the second attempt to just receive the time count violation, reset and kick. Hella smart by the Esks.

I agree...a curb stomping was definitely on the menu for me as well.

Just the same I am very pleased with the outcome. :D

As good as 3 wins against the Stamps were I think the watching the boys lift the Grey Cup will be much sweeter.

So much here I agree with. Seeing the same things.

Nice wrinkles and management by the Esks.

Didn't understand either how Lacey gets the unsportsmanlike penalty there for kicking the ball on that play. seemed like just an extra dig there against the Eskimos. Bad enough that the TD was called back twice.

Plus somebody explain to me how it isn't a TD. Lacey is not down there. Plus it wasn't even close to Messam being down there. How does that call even get made?

I thought the fakes executions were sharp and also that we took the time count on the 2nd as it wasn't there. That's a well honed team refusing to make those kinds of mistakes.

The Only thing that pisses me off? Thanks to a poor D performance Mitchell, who really wasn't that good, gets 150 extra yds late in the game to pass Reillys yard totals. A phoney stat on the day. Mitchell was ordinary. Trouble is we were leaving recievers wide open all over the field.

Mitchell alos putting the ball into a lot of questionable spots when the coverage was there. On one play Bo tosses the ball to Rogers who had 4 Esks in tight coverage surrounding him, Bo throws a pick the next play.

Can we have an official end to people talking up Bo Mitchell? Pretty ordinary on the day. No way he deserved his final statline.

Another gongshow. Looks like the refs really put on their playoff game faces wanting as usual to be integral to the final result.

man, could you imagine if this game was ACTUALLY close and those calls impacted the result?

There would literally be riots today at Commonwealth. I thought people there in the stadium were going to lose it after having two TD's called back in a minute.

Never seen anything like that. I think 4 Calgary fumbles today were ruled down on contact. Two of them were.

The Esks also get a interception taken back on a mystery PI call where they didn't even call the number.

The "forced out" was hilarious though. The guy was 3yds out on the play. :shakehead. Even without the contact he's out. For the refs to be so magnanimous on the call forshadowed what agenda there would be on the day.

It was as if CFL just couldn't see the defending Grey Cup champs taken apart and embarrassed. Even though they were. The scoreline today should have been 60-19.

Calling CFL officiating bush league would be a compliment to them. They're well below that level.

If this league wants to be serious about itself, it does a comprehensive (if not forensic..lol) audit of the rule book, the quality of the officials, and how replays work. The NFL is a quality product, if the CFL doesn't figure out a way to move away from an officiating circus every night they are going to quickly find that few that are under 35 are going to watch their game.

On another more important note - this was the best Eskimo game I've been to in the last 10 years. Loved the game tonight, the Eskies jacked the Stamps up.

Worst officiating I've seen outside of the Italy South Korea WC quarterfinal from years ago.

Best part of the game was waiting for the refs for 20 minutes only to get no TD call and then the Esks go right back out and score a TD.

Man I thought Jones' head was going to explode.
