This has to be the end of the road for Jason. Once again we got schooled in all three phases of the game. What happened to our supposed great D-line. Zero pressure once again tonight.

Well, I feel bad for you guys. Have tons of talent but got outcoached...and out reffed. The refs couldn’t have been more one-sided-it is appalling.

Well- a few observations:

-Defence gave us a chance by picking BLM 3 times but they were left out there all day. No D-line pressure but a decent performance with all things considered. With all the offences 3 and outs and total lack of imagination, a defence that allows 26 points on the day was respectable.

-Kilgore simply no match for Bo. Ali versus a museum guard. Ditto for Maas versus Dickenson. Let's stop kidding ourselves. The Stamps were much better prepared--again.

-No real offence to speak of, although a better game by Gable. Stunk the joint out with 40K in the stands. When you need 7 yards on the last gasp but go for 3 it speaks volumes. All the receivers should have penetrated the first down marker.

-I've seen team mates fight on the sidelines but rarely have I seen it on the field. It's painful to watch. All kinds of other mental mistakes. Goat horns for Adjei and a half dozen others.

-The biggest positive is that Sunderland seems to have had enough. Looked like he was going to choke someone. He just can't win with this coaching staff he's got and by now he has to know it. This "we love Jason" stuff has to end somewhere. Soap opera stuff--childish.

-Bye week, let's hope Ottawa loses again. That is now our main game plan. Sneak into the X-over spot and unveil our blow-em-out strategy.

Was the Sunderland walk down the sidelines for the players? I know it came shortly after that altercation on the field but it happened so quickly after, that unless he was already down there already I’m wondering if it was meant for everybody especially Maas.

Firing Maas should have happened in the offseason. Now is not the best time for it because too much of the scheme is based entirely on his playbook and it’d cause even more chaos offensively if you try and let a completely green Maksymic run the offense solo.

Add to that the lack of suitable replacements and it’s looking rather bleak. I assume they’d elevate Lolley to interim HC but I’d rather let him focus on the defense.

I mean I guess you could throw a bunch of money at Trestman or Milanovich and try to convince them to come back up north but I’m not sure they’re actually upgrades over Maas. And of course there is the salary cap on coaching which limits what you can do.

Yeah, it doesn’t even seem like a possibility really and for the reasons you mentioned. It’s not just the salary cap on coaches, that in itself probably prevents them from doing it even if they wanted to but even if that wasn’t an issue what would concern me the most is a lack of suitable replacements. Most of the guys who’d be on that list are getting up in years. Anybody know how long Maas’s contract runs for? At this point I’d be concerned that might even be an issue in replacing him this off season if it were to still count against the coaches cap.

Islands in the stream.
Didn't even bother to watch the game and I won't watch the replay. Theres simply no point, and no point seeing this sorry ass club play another game this season.

We're back in next year or next decade territory.

40K fans went to see this crap? Were they paid to go?

Did anybody think the Esks were going to be in the games last week or this week? this team can't beat anybody good.
