That's probably too rich an ask for the Oilers. I am not as high on Connor Murphy as some. Is he healthy?
Yeah he’s healthy right now. Playing pretty well. Nothing special but could be a good add to the right playoff team as a very good bottom pair guy or stay at home type with a higher end middle pairing guy if a team has a hole there.

I think Edmonton is stuck with Skinner. I don't see a realistic trade and destination that is going to make him waive the NMC.

I think he'd be more than happy to ride the pine while the team competes for a cup. He wants the playoffs.

I think only if Toronto is dealing with lots of injuries he’d waive for them. But I agree, moving Skinner anywhere with that NMC is going to be a tough sell.

Do you watch the Oilers? Do you follow the Oilers?

Oilers are winning and goaltending has not been an issue

I would rathere give Rodrigue an opportunity

Stuart Skinner is 45th in GAA, 50th in save percentage, 72nd in goals saved above expected, and 62nd in Low Danger Shot Sv%. He is not an NHL starter by any stretch of the imagination.

There is definite improvement orver the start of the year. His stats are improving and not the least bit worried about Skinner's stats

Do you? Oilers goaltending is terrible lol. Could be an Achilles heel come postseason if they don’t go for an upgrade this TDL.
If his stats and play weren't improving i might be worried ut I would rather a solid 2nd pair dman over anything else I watch every Oilers game not just stat watching

Sam O'Reilly OR Edmonton's 2026 1st, Max Wanner OR Phil Kemp, and STL 2025 2nd for Murphy (50% retained) and Soderblom.
The Oilers aren't moving O'Reilly or a 1st in a deal for Murphy.

Who *wants* to stay in Edmonton?
I'm sure there's a lot more players that would rather play in Edmonton right now than Chicago.

Hawks may consider Murphy (no money involved ) for 2 / 2nd rder's
2nd and a 3rd is as high as I would go but would still need atleast 25% retained. That would be my desperation last choice deal. As in struck out in all other options to upgrade the defense.
