Admittedly underwhelmed. Wouldn’t be happy if it’s a 1st and one of Akey or O’Rielly.

Admittedly also don’t know what the **** I’m talking about though.

Good to know.
You jogged my memory as well as I do remember hism clearing waivers now.

So I wouldnt be surprised if Kapanen is waived which would be fine by me. He has good wheels but is a bit of a turnover machine which is something this team needs to improve.

one of the scouting reports for Walman says he is a turnover machine

Not especially enthused with this if it's a 1st, on top of a prospect as well. Once again, the bush league front office clown show pursues the wrong type of player instead of addressing what this team needed in the off-season and now overpays at TDL. Incompetent as per usual.

He’s good this is better than I expected honestly.

You can never have too much depth on D
But you're not giving up a package like that for a depth D. You're giving up a package like that for a guy to take on an Ekholm-like role or at the very least, a 20-22 minute role alongside Nurse. If he's paired with Emberson, we're talking like a 17-18 minute guy.
I really like Walman btw but the fit is odd unless they think he can play the right side.

We don’t know what the package is yet. He’s also signed for next year on a steal of a deal.

Was fine last year in Detroit. Not so great in sj, but I suspect that comes with being their number 1 dman and playing on a team as bad as sj
???? He’s played unreal for the sharks.

Hopefully he can play right side well. I am guessing management didn’t like the right D on the market. Having another year at 3.4 is a bonus if he can play top 4

I hope its not a 1st rounder.

This trend of giving up high picks has to be reversed sooner or later.

You have an older team with lots of guys riding into the sunset. They have to be replaced with younger players and the free agent route has proven to be a mistake verging on a disaster. That leaves draft and develop.

Shouldn’t have traded for anyone then if it offends you that a top 4 is playing in our bottom pair. As if that’s a bad thing.
That is a bad thing! It is a horrible trade if we spent one of our only valuable assets to trade and the only problem we solved is a deeper 3rd pairing. No upgrade on Draisaitls wings, no upgrade in goal, no shutdown/faceoff center, and it places a huge bet on Kulak playing his weak side with Nurse. Even if Walman is a fine player, and he might be, it’s just a poor fit. Full stop.

Bowman spends our best draft capital to obtain a goalie or RHD on a… *checks notes* left handed offensive defender. That tracks.

Seriously, this is guy is very very dumb. Like shouldn’t be allowed to put on his own clothing dumb. It’s truly something.

Well...many of the reports suggest that he is very good against the other teams best players.
Seems to be more positive reports than negative.

He is very poised with the puck on his stick and isnt afraid to make plays. Makes him hard to defend in the O zone especially on the PP. Players that makes plays do tend to have moments where the puck gets turned over but as long as he doesnt try that on the low percentage passes Im fine with it.
I think this is a good addition. Looks like a player that can open up some space in the O zone for the forwards because being a very good playmaker and having a good shot makes him tricky to defend.

That's just it, if he's able to play the right side then this is a very good addition but if he can only play the left then I'm confused.
