To CBL:
Brannstrom

to LA:
Gavrikov

To OTT:
Roy

adds needed obviously, but I wonder if that would work as a framework.
Swap Roy for Durzi/Walker and the forward prospect of your choice not named Byfield or Turcotte. Maybe even a mid round pick.

Is there a possibility to get Byfield included in this deal ? Additions from both sides can be discussed, obviously
Additions from Columbus will be Kent Johnson, Corson Ceulemans and Daniil Tarasov.

Byfield is not for trade, even for Gavrikov…

Toronto should be very interested if he's available, we'd be able to re-sign him and have him become our 2LD with Muzzin done

Rielly - Liljergen
Gavrikov - Brodie

I like the top 4. You can switch Brodie/Lilly if you want more mobility spread out

You know Columbus will be asking for Knies plus.

Do you still want Gavrikov?

kings and blues make most sense from a need perspective. gavrikov is really underrated.

I get that you're trying to indicate Byfield's not for sale. I understand that starting with Gavrikov is an absurd base. But even sardonically, even in jest, even as a "just to make a point" thing, you do not even get to think about mentioning KJ under any circumstances whatsoever.

The 1st would be moved before KJ is. And the 1st will never be moved.

Plausible IMO, although 1) we can't do that now because injuries (wait 'till later in the year) and 2) we can't guarantee an extension; y'all would have to work that out yourselves. If he's willing to extend at a fair rate, we'd much rather keep him, after all.

If we could speak with him and his agent and agree on a long term deal with Edmonton, I'd do the 1st + Puljujarvi that I mentioned yesterday + 2nd 2024 for your troubles (meaning, deal is done sooner, not after the break).

Well, considering Muzzin is out indefinitely, they have a big hole on the 2nd pair LD.

Ideally:
Reilly - Brodie
XXXX - Lilly
Giordano - Sandin/Holl

Not saying you were one of them but it's comical to see this as a need after soo many Leafs fans said Sandin was a top 4 LD that was just buried on the depth chart. Well, here's said opportunity.

He still can be a top 4 LD in the right situation, despite his slow start. He just isn’t the right fit for the Leafs #4 spot right now. We need a direct Muzzin replacement.

don't think anyone said this. He's a young 22 year old dman who makes a shit load of mistakes and Toronto is in a win now situation. He has the potential to be top 4 yes, but he needs time and development. Gavrikov is a prime example of someone who just needed some development time

If Toronto is the one who gets him, that's the most stupidest move Dubas ever do (they need RHD.... Not LHD).

Actually, with Muzzin out long term (good chance forever), they need both.

We could use a rock solid top 4 guy regardless of which side he plays at this point.

Gio is still top 4 level, but I'm not sure we really want him eating top 4 minutes for a full season....

If you consider Liljegren more ready for top 4 minutes than Sandin, then one could argue the Leafs might need a LD more....

He is a no brainer fit for Edmonton. If an extension can be done right away something like Broberg+ should be on the table.

Whatever trade the Kings make, will have to include one of Walker or Durzi going the other way to make a roster space. I prefer Durzi as I believe Spence/Clarke can come in and he has more value than Walker.

2nd + Durzi + Kupari/Madden/Thomas. Gets the ball rolling at least to open the convo.

Durzi+Madden+JAD

You never know if Jackets scouts love a guy but I'd think straight picks would fit better for Columbus. They have a lot of middling prospects and offensive young players as is. Picks offer more flexibility (like the idea of moving some for Horvat).

Exceptions:

Broberg + Yams/Pulj maybe? Or prefer picks?

I'd like to see Gav for Barrie + 1st, Barrie would be more needed on the PP in Columbus. Especially if they do this deal early they can't just give away Gav without bringing in someone with a good rep to keep the locker room from giving up.

Ottawa is very much in the business of moving futures.

Jacob Bernard-Docker is a defensive minded guy that wouldn’t be untouchable in a move like this.

I don't think JBD is enticing enough.

I know that Ridly Greig is worth too much to move straight in a deal like this but he would be more valuable to Columbus than to Ottawa. So how would that be balanced, Zaitsev?

After Greig I don't see anything in the Sens pool that would clearly suit the Jackets needs.

So many people want Byfield even though plenty like to claim what a terrible, overrated bust he is.

Would you consider Kupari if you need a center prospect with value that the Kings may consider parting with?
Thing with Byfield is if he breaks out he's something of a unicorn. Power forward C is less common than even goal first C. That makes him intriguing.

Actually, with Muzzin out long term (good chance forever), they need both.

No. Rielly Gio and Sandin are all left shots left side. Liligren and Holl are right shots right side. Brodie is left shot right side.

Anyone objective could see pushing Holl to 7 is our obvious first priority.
