Brown, Hyman, Kapanen, Dermott.
They're getting the band back together.
Who are "these guys"?don’t understand why these guys aren’t more often claimed. Teams can try them and if they don’t work out just put them back on waivers. Their cap hits are totally put into the minors. These are cannot lose claims. Smart play by the Oilers on this on.
Experienced proven guys, who have cap hits that can be 100% buried in the minors if it doesn’t work out. It’s a can’t lose.Who are "these guys"?
Kaapo Kähkönen was claimed just like that. Played only one game for Avs before he was back on waivers.Experienced proven guys, who have cap hits that can be 100% buried in the minors if it doesn’t work out. It’s a can’t lose.
What, exactly, is the negative here for the Oilers?
If you remove letters from Draisaitl, shouldn't the ones you add to Kapanen be the same?Kapapenen - McDavid - Drai
Yeah. It's bizarre how much Oilers fans hate Toronto, the Leafs and all of the players, because most of them end up on the Oilers at some point. They really do have an obsession with former leafs

Agreed. The Oilers seem to buy into the hype and can't wait to get their hands on one. The Sens seem to do is as well.A lot of Leafs touted future superstars end up on waivers.

Honestly he got lucky. Edmonton has injuries in the forward group and so does Bakersfield. So taking a flyer on a guy makes sense. Since for some reason management won’t call someone up from BakersfieldHaha woooow... ok.
From driving drunk, almost pissing your career away for shits and giggles to McDavids wing. This is how you fail upwards folks
The difference in cap hit is whyThey felt happy, hard-working Puljujärvi annoying. For sure they will love Kapanen
I would argue he's really fallen ever since that OT winner in Game 2 vs. Washington in 2017.he's really fallen off ever since that OT GWG against columbus in the bubble

I don’t follow the prospects much. But 9 points in 15 games. I don’t know how well he’s playing though as I don’t watch the AHL.How has Savoie been so far?
