So wild! Can't believe McD is a goner just like Drai......You mean other than the fact he's not even eligible to sign his extension till July 1st 2025.....

I agree, no team is offering multiple 1sts for a rental.
As far as the goaltending, overall it is the only reason why the rangers are near a playoff spot right now, but Igor has struggled for a few weeks. Even so he still has a game like against the Flyers where the Rangers should have given up 7 or 8 goals and he held it at 2.
I don’t think Schneider is available, the rangers RD depth is thin and Trouba will be traded at some point. Schneider is their 2nd pairing D for the foreseeable future.Do you think if the Oilers offer a wild package like this they could acquire Schneider as well?
I would do this in a heartbeat.
If the Rangers give Shesterkin his next contract, they're done being a serious playoff team for the duration of the contract.
I think Schneider would be available if he was not the best player in the deal but that should be a different thread.I don’t think Schneider is available, the rangers RD depth is thin and Trouba will be traded at some point. Schneider is their 2nd pairing D for the foreseeable future.
Stu Skinner is a perfectly fine stop gap in goal for a team that needs to take a beat and retool for a year or two.
He’s not.I don't know if Byfield is available for a goalie, Bern. I guess I can't be 100% sure of that as I am not a Kings fan, but to an outside observer their core is getting old and Byfield is part of a very good group of young players establishing themselves.
We’re not trading our best player unless an equal or better player is coming back. We’re trying to win this year.
I would maybe consider it for Draisaitl. McDavid, sure.
Picks? No chance.
Good news, Shesterkin is no longer a rental! Get him before the inevitable NTC clause is announced and activated.I agree, no team is offering multiple 1sts for a rental.

panarin isn't the problem. trouba and miller are. As a NYR fan nothing better than watching the garbage of Jersey lose.I agree-ish. You're done for a few years, but within 2 years both Trouba and Panarin are off the books. If the cap flies further, the Shesty contract isn't a huge deal and there's room to fill in around the young.
As a devil's fan, I'm hoping they mortgage now with a big Shesty contract, then sign panarin to big money and lock talent out that way. I think the goalie contract is fine as long as the next few years after are frugal.
