I have to say... my initial thought on this trade was that at least we'd traded a healthy scratch for a guy who could blend in on a 3rd or 4th line but I'm really liking Strome. If he keeps up his game then I wouldn't mind seeing him extended as a bottom 6 forward or maybe he gets the old Brian Boyle 2nd rounder. Either way, a Gorton steal.

Ha! I thought he was an RFA this summer. But I just checked and see he's signed through next year and his salary is way less than I had thought. I thought he was on four-something million. But actually he's on three-point-one. Totally reasonable.
