Yeah, a couple of gambles with the Russian player have paid off. When was last time the Bruins drafted a Russian forward?
Koko in 2011.

A quick look at the Bruins draft history before that, they drafted two Russian F's in 02, and Zino in 01. So, Koko was it for the past 23 years. Barely any Russian D men, either. The last goalie was Ryabchikov I believe.

The Habs could pull ahead of the Bs tomorrow with a game in hand. Wouldn't that be special.
I'm fine with that.
Montreal has been very patient and so have their fans.
They have drafted appropriately, grabbed some depth guys using goalies within their system.
Cam and Don could learn from them rather than signing guys to PTO's, waivers, swapping scrubs out of Providence.
Shooting in the dark.

I may be in the minority here but I’d rather have the last 12 years of Montreal then Boston

They each won nothing and Montreal has Suzuki, Caufield, Demidov. Hudson and the Bruins have a bunch of nobodies

Bruins wasted our springs and time

Sounds like a Sweeney type reach in the 1st round (21st pick), he went on to play around 100 minor pro games in his life. His highest level was playing 16 games in the AHL. He could have been called Sieve Bustovinov. That draft the Sens got Daniel Alfredsson in the 6th round.

John Grahame was selected in the 9th round by us that year and played 225 games with the Bruins, we also grabbed another russian deeman in round 11. The most recent deeman was Roman Bychkov in 2019. They also selected another one in 2010 - Maxim Chudinov. It seems they got burned one too many times in the 90's and stayed to the west.

i hope they do pass us as long as Sweeney doesn't blow the pick and Gorton hits it big.

I hear ya. Time to start tanking. I think Pasta needs to hang them up for the rest of the year. Looks like he is injured :)
Cant do that, he's the main reason I'm watching. What a treat he is ! Just an unbelievable player!!
