He's been terrible. But let's be honest, the Oilers are a 2-trick pony and when the dynamic dual aren't on the ice they're basically an AHL team.

Still though, most knew it was a terrible signing and things are playing out as expected. No way was he worth that type of commitment. The Oilers continue to be one of the worst run Franchises in the league and are wasting the prime years of their 2 superstars.

Oilers need to blow up their team, but fans are in denial...2 trick pony isn't going to win them a cup and McDavid is going to leave when his contract expires.

Mike smith says be careful what you wish for.
Mike Smith managed to both flop down and rip his groin in the process while saying that

That's exactly the point I made.

The Oilers posters bragging about how a healthy regular season LA Kings team would beat the Leafs in the playoffs because they won against an injured Leafs team this regular season.

I said by that same accord, the Leafs beat the Oilers in the playoffs.

You're agreeing with me and disagreeing with the Oilers poster.
A healthy Kings team (they were missing Doughty) beats either of the Oilers or Leafs in the playoffs

Leafs and The Oilers are built similar.....lots up front, questionable D and still looking for the right goalie.
Who blinks first, Matthews or McDavid?

What crap are you spewing lol?

Leafs are top 10 defensively since the beginning of last season, currently 8th, allow the third fewest shots and some of the lowest high danger chances in the league.

Oilers and Leafs aren't the same.

How long before you donkeys realize they are staying in Edmonton long term? Have to think if they make the playoffs (again) this year you will
That's what they Said about Gretz as well ... anyone can get traded... im not saying it will happen .. just the fact anyone is tradable

Are you going to copy and paste this in every Edmonton thread when they have a bad game? Must be uncomfortable under your bridge.
To be fair he's had a lot of chances to copy and paste the way the oil have been playing

Are we going to see this thread every time Jack has a bad game?

This is old news.

He signed this contract on July 13th. It was a mistake then and it doesn't change anything today.

Why are we talking in circles?

Was at the game last night, and while Campbell didn't look great, the defense in front of him is straight garbage. He was hung out to dry often and its really not at all shocking that a big number got rung up.

Edmonton has a ton of offense, but that means jack shit when they're constantly pinned in their own end. How they've gone this long with the core they have without doing a damn thing to address the defense is criminal. They're going to waste their entire window by neglecting an entire half of the game.

Campbell was embarrassingly bad last night. 4 of the 7 goals against should not be goals. Oilers are going to have to pray he rebounds because he's leaking rebounds like a JV basketball team.

A lot of copium being inhaled right now. Despite all insiders reporting the only official offer the Leafs presented was 2.5 AAV AND the fact that they then went out and got a goalie who makes 500k less, the narrative is that the Leafs wanted to sign him to this deal but couldn't either due to the cap or him being sold on the Oilers after being "lowballed".

When that logic is destroy with a simple google search, then it becomes "well you suck as well". Both teams are built the same is hilarious. How would Edmonton look if McDavid and Drai didn't have 2 PPG production and were shooting like Matthews and Marner right now? Would they have won more than a game or 2?

You are right, they are not the same, the Oilers can actually win a playoff series, Leafs, not so much.

*Looks at the Oilers blue line*

He will most definitely not be fine lol, shaky inconsistent goaltender playing behind a top 5 worst blue line, what can possibly go wrong. Murray and Bouchard might be the worst pairing in the entire NHL my goodness did these 2 look horrendous.

I just feel bad for Campbell, put in a position to fail, they need serious help on the blue line. Soup is not a bad goaltender, he's a legit starter I still believe that. Get him some defenders.

such an outdated narrative. Leafs have been a good defensive team since Keefe has taken over. goaltending and depth scoring have been the real issues.
